Beau Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Beau. He’s a sweet 9 yr old boxer mix. Beau had a very hard first 6 yrs of his life. He was found in the street, hit by a car. A local shelter took him in and treated him. They had him for 2 yrs where he had to be in a cage by himself because he does not do well with other animals. Beau is a big boy; a 100lb gentle giant. A local elderly man heard Beau’s story, went to meet him and he fell in love. He brought Beau home in Aug 2020. He and his new dad were a perfect team!! They took multiple long walks every day, played fetch for hours and were great buds. Sadly, his dad passed away. Family took Beau in, but it isn’t working as he needs to be the only animal in the home. They are heartbroken because Beau is a very loyal, very sweet and very lovable. He’s also pretty smart! When he meets people, he sits & gives his paw to say hi. He knows his commands: stop, sit, give me your paw, drop it. He loves a good walk. He’s up to date with all his shots. Holly is a low-maintenance dog who is housebroken and crate trained. Chunky was removed from his home for neglect by a local NY shelter. His owner was hanging him out of a window. He had trauma in his past. He was returned to rescue and is now living in our trainers home successfully . Our trainer said if she were younger she would adopt him. There is nothing wrong with him. She gave him the time he needed to decompress from the stress of his situation.

Yara is doing great in her foster home in Maryland. She has been making a lot of improvements with her housetraining. She is a very sweet puppy who loves to play with her toys. She also enjoys being around her two boxer foster siblings. Yara is not a fan of walking on leash, so she would do best with a securely fenced yard while she works on leash training. Yara was spayed last week and she is recovering nicely. She is now up to date on all vet care and ready for a forever home of her own!
