Story
Meet Pagani! She loves kids, other dogs, ALL humans, and is an expert at snuggling! Sometimes while she is sleeping beside you she will start snoring; this little snorty snore is sure to make you smile.  Pagani currently lives in a foster home with cats; they are assertive and put her in her place, she may do best with that kind of cat. She loves to go on car rides and does well out in public, because she  just loves people.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 7, 2026, 9:24 am

Story
Meet Winny, the new love of your life. She loves cuddles and being held. Kids and other dogs bring her much joy! Winny also LOVES walks and car rides, but will definitely lead the way if you let her, so she will need someone who can help show her what's acceptable and what's not. She loves company, so a dog friend would be very beneficial to her in her new home. When Winny is by herself, it takes her a few minutes to calm in her crate. It's not the crate she dislikes. It's not being where you are. This silly girl even sleeps in her crate with the command "nap", and will even let you get your beauty rest at night. Speaking of commands, this smart little girl knows "sit", "come", "leave it", and "place". She loves to play and squeaky toys are her favorite! Winny is potty trained like a big girl. However, open the door and she will run out quickly, so be sure you don't open just any door without caution, or Winny will show her way out! Winny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Included in Winnys adoption are 3 free training sessions via Dayton Dog Den to help transition her into her new home! She would also benefit from doggie daycare, so they have also graciously offered 3 days of that as well! If Winny seems like the right fit for you, go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt to apply! Her adoption fee is regularly $285, but to celebrate our 14th anniversary, Winny's adoption fee is half off during the month of April. We believe she is a year and a half and a Boxer Whippet mix. She's around 35 pounds. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Barkley’s birthday is 5/20/21. He’s EXTREMELY loving & affectionate but we have to rehome b/c of chronic health issues (in the humans). He’s not able to get the proper exercise & as much socializing has he needs to stay healthy. We would like him to go to a home where he can have 1 or more dog friends to live with & where he can run around & play a lot. He’s been going to doggy daycare for over 2yrs, but now is only able to go 1x/week.We would like someone local & we would love to be able to visit him a couple times a year. He’s on gabapentin for an underlying neurological issue. It’s well controlled on the gabaHis 1st home was abusive, hit him & caged him in a cage that was too small as he grew. B/c of this his spine is slightly curved, & he’s on Carprofen for pain in his back legs. And he’s on a low-dose anti-anxiety med. He is anxious of new places & people (prefers women over men). But he does well with a confident leader.W/proper exercise he might be able to get off the last 2 meds

Story
I have had Bodie since 10 weeks of age. He turned 2 in February. I got him from a shelter two days after he arrived there. He is a very loving boy, but hes very energetic. He loves to play and run. He needs a strong handler. Preferably a male, but will do well with a dominant female. He absolutely loves EVERYONE. Hes very social and never meets a stranger. I sent him for four weeks of training and he did very well. He has lost some of his training because I went through a year of illness and did not work with him. He knows all he was taught, but will not hold a command for me now. He is 85lbs. I was in a car wreck and it damaged my back to the point I cannot walk him because he has started pulling. Not lunge pulling but wont give me a loose leash. I cannot give this 2 yr old dog what he needs and it breaks my heart to watch him pace with anxiety. In regards to cats, he does not chase mine because im on it, but he does want to get to them, only to sniff and try to play.

Story
Miles is an approximately 2–3 year old pit bull with a big heart and an even bigger personality. We rescued him last October and have spent the past several months helping him regain his health and confidence. He’s now a strong, happy dog who absolutely loves his people. Miles is very smart and eager to learn. He picks up on commands quickly and enjoys training and structure. He’s attentive, responsive, and loves having a job to do. He’s also incredibly affectionate and cuddly, and is happiest when he’s close to his people soaking up attention or relaxing on the couch. Miles would thrive in a home where he can get regular exercise, guidance, and lots of love. Because of his strong prey drive, he will need to be in a home without cats or other small animals. With the right environment, Miles will make a loyal, loving companion.

Honey girl is the sweetest, she great with other dogs and cats and young children. Reason for rehoming her is our older dog has all of a sudden started to not like her and show a bit of aggression towards her. She loves to play and be held like a baby. She likes to hop around like a bunny when shes excited. Shes truly a sweetheart. She has met 2 cats since I’ve had her and has done perfect with them, and she does good with other dogs.
