I guess I got lost and ended up at the dog warden's shelter. No one came to claim me, so here I am, looking for a new home. They say I am a boxer mix. Honestly, I can't remember my parents, but you can always have a DNA test done if that matters to you. If you would like to meet me, please stop at the Portage Co Dog Warden's Shelter where I am waiting for you.Otis Petfinder Listing: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/190694-otis-3bba140d-e864-4919-94d2-62cb15cda852/oh/ravenna/portage-county-dog-warden-shelter-oh184/details/Otis is not a Rose's Rescue dog. Story

Meet Puffin!Puffin is a 5 year old Boxer mix weighing around 58 pounds, with a sweet and affectionate personality. He enjoys spending time with his people and does best when he can build strong, trusting bonds. Once he feels comfortable, Puffin loves attention and will happily be by your side, soaking up affection and companionship.Because Puffin can be sensitive at times, he would thrive in a home with children 13 years and older who can understand his needs and respect his boundaries. He is not able to live with other dogs, and he does not show potential to live with cats, so a single-dog household would be the best fit for him.Puffin is looking for a calm, consistent home where he can feel safe and supported. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, he will be a loyal, devoted companion who brings warmth and heart to his forever family.

Story

Meet Horchata! At about 5–6 years old, Horchata is a sweet girl looking for a patient, understanding home where she can feel comfortable and confident. She doesn’t see very well, so she can be a little sensitive when other dogs get too close to her. Because of this, she’ll need the right canine match, one who understands her boundaries and is willing to give her the space she needs to feel safe.Horchata may be able to live with children ages 10 and older, although we haven’t had the opportunity to see her interact with kids yet. We also don’t have any history of her living with cats, so any feline introductions would need to be approached carefully. If you’re looking for a special girl who just needs a little understanding and the right environment to shine, Horchata may be the one for you! Stop by the Humane Society of Summit County at 752 W. Portage Trail in Akron today!
