Story
Meet Bagel. Bagel is a husky/boxer mix (mostly boxer) and is approximately 2 yrs old.  She is spayed and up to date on shots.  Bagel would do best in a calm home with no kids or older kids that listen and respect animals.  She does great with my 3 kids (ages 16, 13, and 9) but does not like when my boys play rough.  When I took her in I was told she hated men but I have been working with her and she absolutely loves my husband now.  I was told her previous owners had an aggressive man in the house and I’m guessing that’s where her dislike for men came from.  However, I feel she is much better now and given a safe environment men are no longer an issue.  She just needs to know she is safe.  She is crate trained.  Bagel is also house trained but does have little accidents when she’s excited so I just try to take her out every 10-15 minutes when she is super excited.  She is an absolute love bug.  She loves to cuddle up under the blankets and gets tucked in every night.  She goes in her crate and I tell her to lay down and then I cover her up and a lot of the times she will lay her head down before the crate is even closed.  Bagel also LOVES toys, and I mean loves!  She will literally get 20-25 toys out with 20 minutes, and no, sadly she does not put them away lol.   Overall she is a very calm girl.   She jumps very minimal and usually only when you are playing and getting her wound up.  She definitely does have the boxer “boxing” trait.  She will absolutely use her paws (I find it super cute).  She has never been in the house with cats but we do have lots of barn cats and she doesn’t mind them unless they are eating her food and then she will bark at them. I have not had her with my dogs as my dogs are not other dogs friendly.  Although I was told that she gets along with other dogs and I think she would be fine with other dog friendly dogs (but not tested to be clear).  She had a lot of fear when I first took her in and she does still need some extra lovins to learn that she is safe and I think she will be the absolute perfect dog. She has a wonderful personality and a very sweet demeanor.   She was dog tested and did great, she'd love a friend to play with and show her the ropes! You can apply at www.ldrofohio.org Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.  ADOPTION FEE's: Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00 Adults:  $150.00 Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00  If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application:  https://form.jotform.com/193425528783165

Story
Meet Blossom!Blossom is a 3-year-old Boxer mix weighing around 46 pounds, and she truly lives up to her name. She is a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys spending time with her people and forming meaningful connections. Once she feels comfortable, Blossom’s loving personality really shines, and she’s happy to soak up attention and companionship.Blossom shows potential to live with children ages 10 and up. Because she can be sensitive at times, she would do best in a home with kids who understand how to give her space when she needs it and interact with her calmly and kindly. When it comes to other dogs, Blossom can be unsure at first, but she does show potential to live successfully with the right canine companion. Slow, thoughtful introductions and patience will be key to helping Blossom feel confident and comfortable as she adjusts. With the right match and guidance, she may be able to enjoy having a dog friend in her forever home.Blossom would thrive in a home that is patient, understanding, and willing to let her settle in at her own pace. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, sweetness, and a heart full of love.If you’re interested in meeting Blossom and learning more about her, feel free to visit us at 752 W Portage Trail. Story
Say hello to Little Dough Boy! He is a 1 year old Boxer mix who weighs about 48 pounds. Little Dough Boy is an energetic and social boy who is always ready to play. He is still a young dog, so he has plenty of energy and would love someone that can match his gregarious personality! He is your typical puppy who can be mouthy and rowdy at times, but once he settles down, he is the ultimate snuggle bug. Little Dough Boy loves his food and his toys and doesn`t like sharing, so he needs an adopter that can respect his space when he has his treasures.Little Dough Boy is sensitive with new dogs and can be very unsure at first, so he would need time and space when he meets a new dog to see if they`d be a good fit. He cannot live with cats, so he wouldn`t mind one bit being the only animal in his forever home so he can soak up all of your love and affection. If there are kids in his forever home, they would need to be ages 13 and older so they can handle him rambunctious personality. If Little Dough boy sounds like the pup for you, stop in today to meet this bundle of energy!

Story
Meet Lydia! This 7-year-old boxer mix is the perfect blend of wiggles, smiles, and sweetness! Lydia has all the classic boxer charm — she’s friendly, affectionate, and full of happy energy. Lydia weighs just under 60 pounds. Lydia loves people of all ages and is always ready to make new friends. Whether she’s at the vet or out at an event, she’s a social butterfly who wins hearts everywhere she goes. She’ll sit patiently for pets and might let out a soft little whimper if she thinks she’s being ignored — she just loves attention that much! Lydia gets along well with the male dogs she’s met and the puppies in her foster home. She can be selective with female dogs, and her reaction to cats is unknown. She’s both crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy addition to your home routine. Before joining Rescue330, Lydia was living outside in West Virginia. Thanks to some kind rescuers, she’s now safe, loved, and ready for her forever home. She’s received excellent veterinary care, including being spayed and having some masses removed. Her most recent surgery revealed that two were benign and one was a low-grade mast cell tumor with clean margins — wonderful news! Lydia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $200. Apply today at www.rescue330.org to make this sweet, smiley girl part of your family! ##2511861##
