Chili is such a sweet, mild mannered, but sporty kitten. She showed up at a family member’s house at 3.5 months old, asking for help. We took her in, socialized her, got her spayed and all necessary veterinary care. We love her and would keep her, if it weren't for a mother-in-law with asthma and cat allergies. Our two-year-old son loves her already and named her Chili Pete--Chili, for short. She loves to leap and sprint and cuddle while purring like crazy. She's put up with some rough and clumsy pets from our son with total grace, and without using her claws even once. She likes to be in the action and doesn't hide from strangers. She slotted right in to our lives really well. We've had her for 3 months and she's gone outside a few times, but always comes back in on her own. She loves to play fetch with her toys which feels kinda unique for a cat. We thought long and hard about keeping her, but alas it will be someone else's privilege to give her a home.

Emma, the Calico is 7-9 yrs. Her mother was feral but she was born in captivity. She is named after Emma Goldman, the Anarchist and VERY independent. She loves to be outside during the day until 10pm or so. She loves to cuddle in bed and stroked. Doesn't like dogs, cats, people except her caretaker or children. She is very cautious all the time. Once she knows you she is lovable but at night only. Loves treats and eats both dry and wet food. She is an easy cat to take care of. Pictured with my other cat, Sylvie who is the same age. She is named after Sylvia Plath, the poet. She is my watch cat and loves to be with me. She also likes to be outside, mostly at night and goes in and out my window. I'd love to adopt the, together if possible. She is also 7-9yrs. The cats get along but snip occasionaly at each other.

Calypso (5) is a petite calico with a big personality and an even bigger purr. We adopted her in 2020, and she has been a beloved member of our family ever since. Calypso is affectionate, loyal, and great with people. She loves to snuggle and is very vocal when she’s getting attention! She has an independent streak and loves finding a sunny spot to spend the afternoon. She is a sweet and confident little cat with lots of personality. Calypso is looking for a home where she can be the only cat. She lived happily with our other cat for years, and they were genuinely bonded. After he accidentally escaped and was missing for approximately two months, however, their relationship changed dramatically when he returned. Despite our efforts to help them reacclimate, Calypso has become territorial toward him, making their current living situation unsustainable. We believe she would thrive as the sole feline in a loving home where she can relax and be the wonderful companion we know her to be.

We are looking for a loving new home for our sweet cat, Calypso. She is a petite calico we adopted from Toni’s Kitty Rescue in 2020, and she is incredibly affectionate with people, loves to snuggle, and has an enormous, very loud purr. Calypso lived happily for years with our other cat, but after he accidentally escaped and was missing for two months this summer, their relationship completely changed when he returned. Despite trying slow reintroductions, separate food and litter areas, and pheromone diffusers, Calypso has become very territorial toward him and we no longer feel that keeping them together is fair to either cat. We believe she would be much happier and more relaxed in a home where she can be the only cat. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family and we are not looking to simply give her away. Sophia is a beautiful 5 year-old cat looking for her forever home! We rescued her as a kitten after a friend found her abandoned in their neighborhood. Like most calicos, she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. She loves being petted, brushed, and cuddling up with you on the sofa. When she's not being a lap cat or playing with her laser toy, Sophia spends her time looking wistfully out the windows.We live in a small apartment in a building that's been under almost constant renovation since we moved in, and it seems to be causing Sophia a lot of stress. My husband and I believe that Sophia also really needs a bigger home to roam around in order to truly be happy. An ideal home would also allow to go outside, but we think Sophia could be satisfied as an indoor-only cat the living space were larger. In any case, new owners must agree not to have her claws removed.Sophia is a lovely cat, and we really want her to find a home where she can thrive and be happy.

Sage is a very loving cat. She loves to cuddle and often burrows herself into my neck then starts licking my ear/face. She and her brother Pepper have been together since birth (so they are a package deal). They have a love-hate relationship, they fight/make-up multiple times a day. Their fights are usually because Pepper wants to play, while Sage wants to chill. I adopted them both from the Oakland Animal shelter almost 6 years ago — they will be 6 in October.Sage has some urinary issues that come and go. The vet has previously said that it was stress related, because we were moving at the time. However, the issue has come up during periods of relative calm. She requires testing that I can’t afford. I am struggling financially which is why I need to rehome them. As much as it hurts to let them go, I need to put their best interest first.

Damian was found abandoned at about 3 days old. His estimated birthday is April 13, 2021, so he is 5 and a half years old. He still very much has some kitten energy, but he's also super down to cuddle and be pet. He's very curious and playful and would do well in a house with someone who likes to play with him or even with another cat who is interested in playtime. He loves looking out the window and rubbing up against people. He's friendly, but he's a scaredy cat, too. He typically hides when the environment is suddenly noisy or chaotic.Damian comes with a cat bed, his favorite toys, and food and water bowls.
