MEET PEPSI! Pepsi and her siblings joined us through our Kyle’s Cats Fund as part of an ongoing local TNR project. They were born to two parents not used to interaction with people so are still a bit shy. They’ll need a little help blossoming but are making great strides in their foster home and we have no doubt they’ll come around. What’s more rewarding than watching a shy little kitten transform one in their forever home? Pepsi has a gorgeous medium-length Calico coat. She and her siblings are around 5 months old, born mid-February. These smart, gorgeous floofs are currently doing great in their active foster home, adjusting to the sights and sounds, and even purring for pets! They all love a good scratch. Because they will likely be a bit shy when first entering their new home and will need time to bond with their new humans, we recommend giving them a small space (bathroom, pop-up play pen, etc.) while they get to know their surroundings and being acclimated to the full space over time. These cuties may not actively seek pets on their own so lots of snuggling and interaction will make a world of difference for them! They are currently in foster care with other cats, a small dog, and children and would benefit from going home with other social pets so they can follow their lead. Pepsi is full vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Pepsi is available for adoption through our Kyles Cats Fund. Kyles Cats is a life-saving TNR program of City of Elderly Love dedicated to improving the lives of community cats in our area. Our Kyle's Cats adoptables follow the same adoption process. MEET ROSIE! Rosie is a senior Tabico who was brought to a local veterinary hospital for euthanasia because she began having litter box troubles after being re-homed by her original family. There are many reasons why a cat might be having little box issues such as stress (from big changes like moving), a treatable medical condition or infection, or something as simple as the litter box not being cleaned frequently enough, none of which require immediate euthanasia. The hospital staff instead asked if they could find safe placement for Rosie and she came to City of Elderly Love instead! Rosie has not had a single accident since having a chance to decompress in foster care and since having access to a clean litter box. When Rosie received a veterinary evaluation including labs. It was found that she had an active flea infestation and itchy, inflamed skin which likely wasn't helping. She’s since healed up nicely and received the medical all-clear for adoption! She’s looking and feeling like a new lady! Estimated to be 10-12 years old, Rosie is a sweet, low-key lady who is currently in foster care with other cats, dogs, and smaller kids. She took a little bit to come around but once comfortable, she loves to seek out attention and flop over for belly rubs. She’s happy to interact with the kids as long as they’re quiet and calm. She otherwise steers clear until they’re in bed so we think she’d love a quieter home. When all is calm, she loves to come down and play with the other cats and cuddle up on the couch with the (low-key) dogs. If you’re looking to add another chill member to your already chill crew, Rosie might be your girl! She’d also do just fine as your one and only. Rosie is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Nap time is one of her favorite activities, and she’s great at finding the perfect comfy spot to relax. She also has a playful side and enjoys spending time playing with other cats, especially my boy cat and her son. Watching them play together is one of her favorite ways to stay active. One of her cutest habits is playing hide and seek. She loves tucking herself into little spaces and peeking out to see what going on around her.She would do best in a calm, loving home where someone understands that shy cats just need a little time to blossom, and with her son by her side.
