Story
~ I want to live with adults.~ I want to be the only pet so I can get all the attention.~ I am a quiet and reserved kitty. I would prefer a peaceful home.~ I have some special needs but still have lots of life to live and love to give. Please ask the adoption counselor to explain when you visit with me.Meet Miller Miller is a 10 year old, black and white, domestic longhair with a gentle soul and a big heart. Weighing 15.81 lbs, this handsome senior spent about a year as a stray before kind caregivers took him into their barn. During his time there, they shared that he was friendly, easygoing, and happiest simply lounging nearby. True to form, Miller will walk right up to you, rub against your legs, and settle in close. Miller is a low-energy companion who prefers people over solitude. He actively seeks out his humans and enjoys being near them, whether that’s relaxing on the couch or quietly keeping you company. He has a medium vocal level and isn’t shy about letting you know when he`d like attention or not. While he doesn’t love being picked up, he will gladly lay next to or partially on you. Gentle pets along his head and back are his favorite, just skip the belly and sides. If he drools a little while you’re petting him, it’s just his sweet way of showing contentment. Since loud noises can frighten him, Miller would do best in a quiet, peaceful home. An adult only household is ideal (respectful teens may be considered). He has experience both indoors and outdoors, but in his senior years he is looking for the safety and comfort of being an indoor-only cat. Miller is not a fan of other animals and would like a home where he can be the only king. He enjoys wand toys and crinkle toys but is mostly content to lounge and soak up companionship. He will need low-entry litter pans for comfort and has known medical conditions that require ongoing care. Our adoption counselors are happy to discuss the details with you. After having a rough go of life, Miller is searching for someone with a big heart who is willing to give him the love, patience, support, and comfort he deserves. In return, you’ll gain a devoted companion who just wants a cozy place to rest and a person to call his own. If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference in a sweet senior’s life, Miller is waiting.

Story
Coco was rescued from our backyard and has been a happy indoor cat for the past 6 years. She’s independent and pairs up at home with another of my cats, Pipp, who is also up for adoption (see “Pipp” page). The two hang out together and make a lovely couple. Now as I prepare to relocate I’m looking for a loving home to continue her life journey. Ideally, Coco would be adopted along with Pipp but I understand that some adopters may want one cat only, so Coco is available for adoption as a single cat too.
We'll also keep you updated on Pipp's adoption status with email updates.
