Story

Elfie is a stunning female tabico! She is beautiful but needs some adjustment time and much more socialization. We are hoping to find her a home with someone who is experienced with nervous/under-socialized cats or someone who is dedicated and committed to learning. She has had a tough time accepting people but has trusted some staff members to give her pets. She seems to do well with other cats also, as she finds comfort and confidence in them. She is often curled up with her brother Claus or other cats nearby. Because of her weariness of people, we think it would be highly beneficial for her to go home with another cat or to a home with an established cat-friendly cat.

Sweet Salem is an adorable all black kitten that came to us from local animal control. She's a sweet and playful little gal with an adorable face and eyes that will make you melt. Salem can be a bit nervous with new people, but once she's comfortable is sweet and playful. She'd likely benefit from another kitty friend to help her confidence. DOB: 7/30/2024

Meet Tony, a charming white and grey cat who was surrendered to local animal control along with Moe. He is mostly white with just a splotch of grey on his head and a beautiful grey gradient on his tail. Tony is a vocal dude who meows at us for attention. We don't mind though, as it's hard to say no to that sweet round face! He will jump up onto your chest for attention, so you have to be ready to catch him. This charming guy would make anyone very happy! Tony is doing well in our free-roaming cat room, so we don't think he'd mind a house with some kitty roommates.

Story

Koda is a gorgeous 7-year-old tabico cat looking for a new forever home. She enjoys pets but is understandably nervous in the shelter. When Koda arrived, staff noticed one of her eyes was enlarged. Our vets examined her and found that the eye pressure was very high. They felt the best course of action for her was to remove the eye to relieve her pain and discomfort as medication was unlikely to resolve the problem. Koda has now healed from surgery and is feeling much better! The biopsy results of the eye showed that she had a rare glaucoma that could possibly develop in her other eye in the future. Our veterinarians recommended eye pressure checks for her remaining eye every 3 months to monitor for any changes indicating the development of this glaucoma. Koda reportedly lived with a dog in her past home. We have started to introduce her to the other cats and she prefers to keep to herself. She's not a huge fan of them but may do well with another older cat who is also independent. Koda deserves more than anything to be in a comfy home where she can relax and enjoy life. She has been through so much in such a short time. Let's get this girl a forever family!

This chill guy is Joey! He came to us from local animal control and is now ready to find a loving forever home to cherish him! He is around 5 years old and is a big guy, weighing 20 pounds. He enjoys pets and watching his surroundings. He loves to plop down beside you and just be near you. Joey doesn't seem to mind most other cats, although he is very big so would need to be well-matched with the other cats in the home. He doesn't really play with the other cats but coexists around them just fine. If another cat is grumpy with him, he tends to run away or hide under something as he's not a fan of conflict.-Joey is FIV+. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is spread to other cats through deep-muscular bite wounds or sometimes in utero. It is not contagious to dogs or humans. Cat friendly cats with FIV can live with other cats who are negative for FIV as long as both are friendly. It is crucial that FIV cats remain indoors only and are kept up to date on vaccines. Most FIV+ cats can live normal lives.
