Story
Meriadoc Brandybuck, or Merry for short, pretty much lives up to his namesake from the Lord of the Rings. He’s always ready for adventure, play, cuddles, playing with his bestest friend Samwise. Merry was born at the shelter in secret, because his momma didn’t let anyone know she was carrying kittens. He and Pippin and his momma Butterbomb were whisked away to their foster home, and a day later, his BFF Samwise was born much to his foster’s surprise. Merry loves most any kind of toy, and he was the first of his litter to climb! He loves to climb the cat tree, cat wall furniture, and his foster moewmy. He aspires to be a hair stylist when he grows up, and thinks her hair is amazing to play in. Merry channels his inner goth with permanent black lipstick, and random black toe beans. Merry is very athletic and can leap a baby gate in two jumps, and he and Samwise have worked hard to synchronize their leaps over the fence as mirror images. Wrestling with his brothers is a favorite pastime, but don’t be fooled by his active lifestyle! Merry loves getting pets and scratches, and will lay down on your lap to soak them all up.Merry is bonded to Samwise, and they have to be adopted together. He has met several of his foster’s resident cats, and thinks they are pretty cool. If one of them gets a little too rough for his small size in a wrestling match, Merry is not afraid to give a little hiss to let them know.
Adoption Information
Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.
Adoption Fees
Kittens (under 6 months): $175 or 2 for $300
Adults (over 6 months): $150
Seniors (10+) / Special Needs: $100

We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you’re ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying.
Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)
