Story
Do You Want To Play? How ‘bout now? What about now? Can we play now? Waggle your toes I’ll play with them! Come on, just a little wiggle waggle! Let’s play! Introducing Ban Zhao! Aptly named for her strong personality and fearless assertiveness, this plump bundle of energy is looking for her furrever home! Ban Zhao landed in SAYv care after she was dropped off at CACC with pneumonia. This quiet cuddle bug surprised her foster with her playful feistiness and fearlessness when she was fully recovered. Staring down, ambushing, and tackling all living things in her relentless search of play, Bani has annoyed her way into the hearts of her foster family and she wants to annoy her way into your family too! Toilet paper and paper towels are doomed in her presence! Windows are smudged with her nose prints! Havoc reigns when Ban Zhao enters a room! Looking to distract her for an hour (or three)? Plug the tub and toss in a few dried beans, she will joyfully bat, pounce, hunt, and kill your legumes! Have a spring toy or 20? Bani loves to play toss and will demand your attention by bringing them not-quite back to you over and over. Ban Zhao loves to be with people and will glue herself to your side so you never have to worry about peeing alone again! Her adventurousness and extreme food motivation make her very trainable and her fondness of door dashing means she will likely enjoy stroller rolls or harness training. Dog tested but not yet mother approved, Bani will likely do well with older kids who understand she is a not a toy and stay away from her pointy ends. Ban Zhao wants to rule her own fiefdom and should be an only cat. Successful and peaceful introductions to other cats take Bani a very long time (think months not weeks) and should only be undertaken by very experienced and patient cat servants. Ban Zhao lives in Logan Square and would love to meet, play with, and nibble you! Story
Eclipse and her brother Sol sadly got returned to us after their new owners realized they were allergic to them and couldn't keep them. But, we're all about second chances and we know this cutie and her brother will have theirs soon! Eclipse is a sweetheart who loves to play with her brother or catch a good nap in a sunny spot on the couch. She loves to chase toys around the room and play with wand toys. She's not picky when it comes to food and is easily entertained! She thoroughly enjoys having a kitty playmate so Eclipse must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with a young cat buddy for her to play with. If you’re ready for some kitten chaos and snuggles with this gorgeous tabby girl, apply to adopt today: sayvanimals.org/adopt (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what PetFinder, AdoptAPet and other aggregation software systems state - the first step is to submit an application via the link above, NOT send a message through their platforms. Story
Meet Mama Nori 🖤 Former full-time mom, current professional caretaker, now accepting applications for her forever home. Nori is a beautiful black mama cat whose three babies are all grown up and ready to live their own lives — which means it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. From the moment you meet her, it’s clear she’s a people-friendly girl. She greets new folks with confident rubs and happily asks for pets and head scratches. While she’s not much of a lap cat, Nori loves being close to her humans. She’ll curl up at the foot of the bed or settle next to you on the couch, purring contentedly and keeping you company. She’s quite the conversationalist too — expect plenty of sweet chirps as she goes about her day. Food is absolutely the way to her heart. Nori is very food-motivated and will happily investigate almost anything you’re eating. Playtime is also on her agenda, especially with her beloved tower-of-tracks toy, wand toys, and springs. She’s not as wild as her kittens, but she definitely enjoys a good play session. And speaking of kittens — Nori is an exceptional mama. Even though her babies are well past nursing age, she still chirps to call them over, grooms them lovingly, supervises their play, and steps in if things get too rough. If Nori had a job, she’d be a full-time nanny with glowing references. Now that her mothering duties are winding down, Nori is ready for a home where she can relax, be loved, and finally be someone’s baby instead. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, nurturing cat with a heart of gold, Mama Nori may be the perfect match. Story
Meet Deva—a brown tabby girl with a name that means "divine," and honestly, she lives up to it. Her story starts like a legend: her mama, found on the streets and bursting with kittens, made it into safety just in time. Deva was born warm, safe, and loved—and she’s carried that vibe ever since. Growing up in foster care, Deva has learned all the good stuff: how to pounce like a pro, nap like royalty, and charm every human and cat in sight. She’s playful, confident, and effortlessly cool—like the kitten version of your favorite indie rock star crossed with a yoga goddess. She’s got main character energy, and she knows it. Deva absolutely needs to be adopted with another kitten, a young playful cat, or into a home that already has a feline friend. She’s social, affectionate, and thrives with a buddy to pal around (and plot world domination) with. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s not just cute, but iconic—Deva is the one. She’s got the looks, the personality, and the origin story. All she’s missing is you. Apply to adopt today: sayvanimals.org/adopt (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what PetFinder, AdoptAPet and other aggregation software systems state - the first step is to submit an application via the link above, NOT send a message through their platforms. Story
Adopt Bach! Bach is a handsome, resilient boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Bach is the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm and he’s ready to find a forever home where he can truly shine. His estimated birthday is 7.24.23. Bach loves men and women alike and forms strong bonds with his people. He may hide when new visitors arrive, but give him a little time and you’ll see his sweet, affectionate side come to life. Once he feels safe, he’s a cuddly kitty who enjoys being petted, snuggling up nearby, and greeting you at the door when you come home. He’ll even “chat” back when you talk to him, making him a wonderful little companion who truly connects with his humans. Playtime is one of Bach’s favorite things — he has impressive kitten energy when the mood strikes and loves playing fetch with toy mice. (Yes, fetch!) If he had a job, it would be a professional boxer — in the most adorable way — batting his toys around with enthusiasm. He especially enjoys when his catnip toys are rotated to keep things fresh and exciting, and he never says no to a Churu tuna treat. Bach can be picked up, though he prefers not to be carried around for long. He’s happiest when he can choose to come to you for affection and settle in on his own terms. Bach does need to be the only pet in the home. Other cats cause him significant stress, and he would thrive as your one and only furry companion. He hasn’t been exposed to children or dogs, but given his sensitive nature, a calm, adult home without other pets would be the best fit. In the right environment, where he feels secure and understood, Bach truly blossoms. He’s also a survivor and an FIP warrior. Diagnosed with FIP as a young kitten, Bach received lifesaving treatment two years ago and has recovered beautifully. Today, he is a happy, healthy boy with so much love left to give — a testament to his strength and spirit. Bach isn’t just looking for a home; he’s looking for his person. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who will greet you at the door and fill your home with personality, Bach may be your perfect match. Story
Say hello to Gia—a stunning brown tabby with a runway-ready look and a story that starts on the streets. Her mama was rescued just in time, giving birth to Gia and her siblings in the safety of a loving foster home. Raised in comfort, Gia has grown into a confident, playful kitten with a heart as big as her whiskers. Her birthday is 2.22.2025. Gia is equal parts elegance and energy. She’ll lounge like a queen in a sunbeam one minute and launch into a dramatic game of chase the next. She’s got style, smarts, and serious sibling-rivalry-winning skills. Whether she’s batting at toys, posing like she knows she’s beautiful (she does), or snuggling up with her foster crew, Gia does everything with flair. Like all kittens with good taste, Gia expects a feline companion in her forever home—either a kitten friend she can be adopted with, a playful young cat, or a resident feline who’s ready to match her energy and share the crown. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s all grace, a touch of sass, and just a little bit extra—Gia is your girl. Get ready to fall in love.
