Story
Meet Mittens! This sweet senior girl is looking forward to life in a real home, after living on the streets for quite some time. Mittens is estimated to be 12+years old, a senior gal, who is missing most of her teeth and her bloodwork indicates that she is slightly hyperthyroid, a common concern in older felines. She has started methimazole for this. Today, Mittens was spayed after a long life of being an intact girl, and she did have a mild pyometra and cysts so she is going to be feeling MUCH happier and more comfortable now. Mittens eats like a champ, uses the litterbox here, and loves attention and relaxing. She is now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested negative and had full panel bloodwork. If you are looking for a senior companion and want to give this sweet girl a great rest of her life, please stop by the shelter, or you can call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov

Story
Meet Phoenix! This sweet kitty boy is 5 years old and ready to find his forever home. Unfortunately for Phoenix, he was surrendered due to chronic roaming and not getting along with cats in the home. The good news? Phoenix was NOT previously neutered. He is now neutered and we think this will help a LOT. Phoenix came to us with a corneal scar. It doesn't appear to affect his vision, and was likely the result of an old untreated injury. He does not need follow up care for this and it is just a part of his "look" now. Due to his previous behavior with other cats, we think he should be the only kitty (at least for now) but he is very friendly with people. He uses the litterbox without issue. Phoenix's adoption fee is $100 and he is now neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and FELV/FIV tested negative. Please stop by the shelter to meet him, or call/email with questions: 6305539256 or animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov

Story
Meet Stevie! Stevie is an 8 month old kitten who was surrendered due to no fault of her own. She was very sick at the time of surrender and tested positive for Pan-Leuk, and was treated accordingly. She has since made a full recovery and is doing great. She will need to go to a home with only fully vaccinated adult cats (over 6 months that have completed their distemper combination booster series), due to possible continued viral shedding for the next few months. Stevie is a sweet girl AND a female orange tabby. Her adoption fee is just $100 and she is now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and FELV/FIV negative. Stop by the shelter to meet her and her sister Sue (they do not need to be adopted together, but can be), and if you have questions, email or call: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov

Story
Meet Emerald! Emerald is an approximately 14 week old female kitten who came to us as a stray and was not reclaimed. She is still a little shy here at the shelter but is a sweet girl who would do great in most any household. A very human friendly cat in the home would benefit her in helping her bond with her new people. Her adoption fee is just $125 and she is now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested negative. Please stop by the shelter to meet her, or call/email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov
