Daffodil is a loyal, affectionate, playful cat who loves any & all of his toys and snuggling next to his human(s). He'll make a great pet in a home where somebody is nearby during the day as he really enjoys being near you, but he also does well if he needs to be left alone. He is conversational and will let you know when he wants to eat or play. A house with accessible windows or a nice perch would be ideal, since he loves to climb up and watch the world go by. He loves wet food and is very neat with the litter box. He’s really the perfect cat companion! Daffodil is one of our special care animals due to chronic upper respiratory infections and gingivitis, which can require a little extra vet care, but such a perfectly charming guy is absolutely worth the extra investment. Meet Kitty! Kitty came to us in August when her ownder could no longer care for. While she had a difficult time adadpting to shelter life, she has come out of her shell and done very well while in her foster home! Her foster has noted that she loves to play fetch but will only consistently return one specific fuzzy ball, which is her favorite toy! She sleeps at the foot of their bed at night, but she gets up to snack on her food sometimes! She loves to come up to people on her own, and can be selective about being pet but she appreciates when it is on her own terms! Kitty is still getting acclimated to loud noises, and tends to hide but her foster noted that she does recover quickly and is actively working on her resilience:) Kitty loves when the TV is left on for her so she can get some background noise to help her feel more comfortable. Meet Buddy! This big guy is very sweet and loves being around people. Buddy lived with another cat before but there didn't seem to be enough space for the two of them. In his foster home, he took a few days to acclimate and come out of his shell and within just a few days he turned into a very sweet, affectionate companion. As he becomes more comfortable, he greets visitors at the door, introduces himself by soliciting head scratches and then plays by himself or retreats for a nap. He is a bit on the heavy side but since he started to play more and be more active, he will be in good shape quickly. He can be a finicky eater and is not very treat motivated. Buddy loves catnip, pet grass and feather wands and is a curious, polite boy who enjoys a chat on occasion. His litterbox behavior is excellent and he is overall a gem of a cat. Sadly, Buddy is front declawed and at times his front paws seem to be a bit sensitive. He still likes opportunities to pretend to scratch. He always enjoys a head scratch and at times a belly rub and often comes when called. Although he did not do well with another cat in his previous home (the reasons are unknown), he is cautiously curious about meeting the neighbor's (male) cat and dog. Buddy will bring his own carrier, litterbox, blanket, toys and a month's worth of his (currently) preferred food when he moves in with his forever family. Buddy is blossoming in a foster home at the moment! Meet Tina! This sweet lady recently arrived on our adoption floor and she's already ready to get out and into a home! In her previous home, Tina lived with other cats. It's unclear if she enjoyed their company or not, but she at least tolerated them! She was known to be quite the social butterfly and was always following her owners around. She was NOT pleased when they would close the door; she just wants to be included in everything her owners are doing! She loved watching out the window in her previous home and could be entertained for hours by the hustle and bustle of city life. Her previous owners also said she's a big foodie and will happily accept any treats you give her. When she's not cuddling and getting attention, you'll find her chasing after a wand toy! She's still a young lady so she's got plenty of energy! Tina is one of our special care cats due to having FeLV. This means that her immune system is compromised; however, FeLV cats can often live long, healthy lives! Ask our guides for more info to realize this disease is not as scary as it sounds.
