Daffodil is a loyal, affectionate, playful cat who loves any & all of his toys and snuggling next to his human(s). He'll make a great pet in a home where somebody is nearby during the day as he really enjoys being near you, but he also does well if he needs to be left alone. He is conversational and will let you know when he wants to eat or play. A house with accessible windows or a nice perch would be ideal, since he loves to climb up and watch the world go by. He loves wet food and is very neat with the litter box. He’s really the perfect cat companion! Daffodil is one of our special care animals due to chronic upper respiratory infections and gingivitis, which can require a little extra vet care, but such a perfectly charming guy is absolutely worth the extra investment. Meet Kitty! Kitty came to us in August when her ownder could no longer care for. While she had a difficult time adadpting to shelter life, she has come out of her shell and done very well while in her foster home! Her foster has noted that she loves to play fetch but will only consistently return one specific fuzzy ball, which is her favorite toy! She sleeps at the foot of their bed at night, but she gets up to snack on her food sometimes! She loves to come up to people on her own, and can be selective about being pet but she appreciates when it is on her own terms! Kitty is still getting acclimated to loud noises, and tends to hide but her foster noted that she does recover quickly and is actively working on her resilience:) Kitty loves when the TV is left on for her so she can get some background noise to help her feel more comfortable. Meet the beautiful Darla! Darla is a fluffy sweetheart who is always looking for snuggles. Her foster describes her as calm, docile and affectionate. Darla is incredibly soft and loving. As an older lady she may not be as energetic or playful but she loves to cuddle with her people and be near humans as much as possible. Due to chronic ear infections and potential chronic kidney disease, Darla is one of our Special Care pets. Darla will need to go to a home comfortable with the frequent vet visits and treatments that older cats often need - especially those experiencing dynamic health issues like this sweet thirteen year old. Her foster notes, "Whenever we sit on the couch, she immediately comes to snuggle with us. Very well behaved. No scratching, biting, jumping on tables or countertops." This beautiful flower is Marcie, and we're so proud of how she's bloomed. Marcie went from being wary of touch to loving on her foster daily. She adores play time. Her favorite toy is the cat dancer, but if she can’t convince someone to play with that, she loves plastic Easter eggs, ping pong balls and even hair ties and will chase them all over the house. She's a professional muffin maker and purr machine. Marcie still takes a little bit of time to get used to new people and new environments, but play will win her over!
