🐾Meet Cool Whip- The Biscuit Chef of the Cat Center!🏘️Fostered In: Frankfort, IL 🎂Estimated Date of Birth: 2022🎨Color: White Tabby with Silver Marking🐱Breed: Domestic Shorthair👶Gender: Spayed Female📏Size: Medium🌟About Cool Whip:Cool Whip wears so many hats at our cat adoption center. First, she is quite the biscuit maker! She can be found on her favorite bed kneading away. Second, she is our greeter. She is one of the first cats to come to the door to greet visitors. Lastly, she is a diva! She would love to sit on your lap while you stroke her beautiful fur. Cool Whip prefers the company of laid back male cats or would even be fine as an only cat. Divas never want other female diva cats in their kingdom! We think Cool Whip would be fine with kids who were laid back with her. We rescued Cool Whip after her human dad was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer keep her and another cat, Oxford. He had to move in with family members who could not take care of the cats as well. She really settled in quickly with us. From zoomies to naps by windows, Cool Whip always amuses volunteers!🔮Cool Whip’s Superpower:Cool Whip’s superpower is making everyone who meets her smile. She is so much fun and silliness locked inside a petite girl. She runs around batting at balls and toys with feathers on them. 🏡Why Cool Whip? She is a great companionShe loves human attention, but not overly needyShe is a great eater and uses her litterbox like a champShe is all up to date with her medicalShe is ready to be back in a real home of her own!📋Apply Now to Adopt: luluslockerrescue.org/adoption-process-application

Story
FOSTERED IN: Long Grove, IL ESTIMATED DOB: June 2021 COLOR/BREED: DSH Black KIDS:Yes DOGS: Some CATS: Some HISTORY: Pixel was adopted out as a kitten and is now up for adoption due to conflict with a resident cat and dog ABOUT: Pixel is a striking 4½-year-old black tabby with a silky, thick coat and a personality that shines just as brightly. She’s a confident little tripod—missing one front leg due to a birth defect—but don’t let that fool you: Pixel doesn’t know she’s any different, and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. Playful and energetic, she loves toys with motion, catnip pillows, and a good game of chase around the house, especially in the mornings. She’s also quite vocal, happily announcing her playtime and excitement with cheerful commentary. This sweet girl adores people and warms up quickly to new friends. The moment you sit down, Pixel is likely to hop right into your lap, purring contentedly while you give her favorite face, cheek, and ear scratches. While she prefers not to be picked up and isn’t a fan of having her paws touched, she more than makes up for it with her affection and lap-loving nature. Pixel is easygoing about food (though she eats with enthusiasm!) and has excellent litter box manners. Pixel would thrive in a quiet home where sudden loud noises and fast movements are kept to a minimum. She would do best as the only cat, but could live with a confident, non-territorial feline companion. She has done well with calm, low-energy dogs but is fearful of high-energy ones. If you’re looking for a loving, vocal, and playful companion who will happily keep your lap warm and your home full of personality, Pixel might be the perfect fit for you. 🐾💖 Interested in adding one of our adoptables to your family? Story
FOSTERED IN: Frankfort, ILESTIMATED DOB: 2022COLOR/BREED: DSH, Orange TabbyKIDS: OlderDOGS: UnknownCATS: YesHISTORY: Oxford was brought to a local shelter when his dad was diagnosed with cancer and had to move from their home.ABOUT: Oxford is a handsome, short-haired orange tabby with a heart as warm as his coat. About 3 years old and medium-sized, this sweet boy may be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience he truly blossoms. In his foster home, Oxford quickly showed that while new situations can make him nervous initially, he’s gentle by nature—never aggressive, just politely asking for his boundaries to be respected. Once he feels safe, he turns into an affectionate companion who seeks out pets, purrs happily, and even makes biscuits to show his contentment.Oxford loves human companionship and thrives on affection. He may not be a full lap cat, but he’s happiest curled up right next to you, especially on the bed or perched high on his beloved cat tree (or even the top of the fridge!). He enjoys medium-energy playtime with laser pointers, feather wands, and noisy balls, then balances it out with long naps and cuddle sessions. Oxford can be a bit chatty as he wanders around, so he’d do best in a quiet or somewhat quiet home where his gentle voice is appreciated. He does well with other cats given a proper, respectful introduction and is currently coexisting peacefully—and even playfully—with a resident cat. Oxford would likely do fine with respectful children and may be okay with a calm, cat-savvy dog, though he hasn’t been tested with dogs yet. Easygoing about food, excellent with the litter box, and free of special medical needs, Oxford’s best feature is undoubtedly how loving he is once he trusts you. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company and shower you with quiet devotion, Oxford might just be your perfect match. 🧡🐾Interested in adding one of our adoptables to your family? Story
FOSTERED IN: Chicago, IL 60640 ESTIMATED DOB: July 2020 COLOR/BREED: Black and White Tuxedo Shorthair KIDS: Unknown DOGS: Unknown CATS: No HISTORY: Mac was previously adopted through Lulu’s Locker and was returned when her owner’s health changed and they could no longer care for her. ABOUT: Mac’s foster home describes her as: Curious, Amusing, Sassy, Playful, and Quiet. Mac is a great mix of affectionate and independent. For her affectionate side - Mac loves to be pet, doesn’t mind being picked up, prepares excellent biscuits, and snuggles up next to her foster at bed time. On her independent side - When her foster is busy Mac is happy to entertain herself by playing with her toys, taking naps, or looking out the window for birds and squirrels or neighbors to judge. Mac did not get the memo that every horror film involves someone checking out a “weird noise” - Mac is going to be running full speed to check out that “weird noise.” She’s clearly part of the new generations as she is very curious when her foster watches cat videos, and enjoys playing tablet “cat games.” Mac will be great for someone looking for an active, outgoing cat to keep them on their toes. Mac was previously adopted with another cat. When they were returned we quickly realized that it was a loveless relationship and separated them. We also determined that Mac would prefer to be the center of attention as an only cat. Mac is a great choice for someone who knows they only want one cat. You’ll never need to be tempted to get her a friend. She doesn’t want any friends (besides you and your family, of course!) We do not know how Mac is with dogs or kids Mac will possibly do fine with older children who can understand that she has preferences and won’t insist on dressing her up or making her attend tea parties. When it comes to eating, Mac could go toe-to-toe with some of the best competitive eaters. It’s a blink and you’ll miss it type of event. She prefers to eat only dry food, so her foster portions it out into smaller meals and offers it to her in a slow feeder to keep her from inhaling it. Think Mac is a perfect match for you? The first step is to fill out our adoption application. More information and our adoption application can be found at www.luluslockerrescue.org. Story
FOSTERED IN: Joliet, IL ESTIMATED DOB: March 2022 COLOR/BREED: Black and White, Domestic Short Hair KIDS: Older DOGS: Possibly CATS: Possibly ***********COURTESY POST FOR OWNER************************** HISTORY: Wilbur was found as a stray ABOUT: Meet Wilbur, a gentle soul with a playful spirit, despite his health challenges. At two years old, Wilbur has already captured the hearts of those who meet him with his sweet and mellow demeanor. While he faces the realities of being both FIV+ and FELV+, Wilbur's love for life shines through in his love for play, particularly with wand toys and toy mice. His playful antics are a testament to his resilient spirit, reminding us all to cherish each moment and find joy in the simplest of pleasures. Wilbur's affectionate nature extends beyond playtime, as he enjoys lounging on his cat tree and soaking up the sunshine. His calm and friendly demeanor make him a delightful companion for anyone seeking a feline friend to share quiet moments and cozy cuddles. While Wilbur is still learning to navigate the company of dogs, his gentle disposition suggests that he would adapt well to a canine companion with patience and understanding. Despite his diagnosis, Wilbur's capacity for love knows no bounds. He would likely thrive in a home with other FELV+ cats, as he craves the companionship of those who understand his unique circumstances. With the right environment and supportive family, Wilbur is poised to blossom into a beloved member of the household, bringing warmth, comfort, and endless love to those fortunate enough to welcome him into their lives. This is a courtesy post. If you are interested in adopting Wilbur, please contact Jody at Jody8714@gmail.com
