Story
Binx is a vibrant 2-year-old who was originally taken in from a family friend. He is the perfect blend of high energy and deep affection. He absolutely loves to "play rough" and has a truly unique, spirited personality that will keep you entertained. Because he is so active and engaged, he would thrive in a home with an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and can provide him with the consistent play and attention he craves. If you’re looking for a companion who is as loving as he is adventurous, Binx might be your perfect match.

Story
Tom is a 12 year old Maine Coon, highly polydactyl with 24 fully boned, well-formed toes. She refuses to be potty trained and we live on a busy street. We used to live on a calmer street and she spent a good bit of time outside and was happier there. Now she sits in front of windows to watch the world. She is very calm, not playful at all. She doesn't really relate to other animals but enjoyed sitting outside in the bushes year around. We have never seen her be violent with other animals or people. We observed her exploration into hunting when she was a juvenile and it was remarkably grisly, but ended then and we've never seen her hunt since. Since becoming fully indoors, she has developed some irritations in her paws and ears and steroids help, but we can't help but think it's related to being cooped up indoors. The vet describes her as sweet and big-boned. We are unhappy to give her up, but she isn't happy and is causing significant and unhealthy damage to our house.

Story
Arlie came to TJO after a resident moved out, leaving behind nearly three dozen kitties. Despite there being so many cats aro, she arrived in great condition and clearly knows the kitty social scene! Arlie can be a little worried at first, but once she gets to know you, her sweet side shines through. She loves attention and enjoys being with her people. She’ ll do best in a quiet home with an adopter who understands that some kitties need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. Arlie will need to be adopted with one or two of her kitty friends or into a home with another social kitty. She has not lived with children or dogs, so a quieter, pet-friendly feline household is the best fit for this lovely girl.If you have room in your heart—and another kitty—for a sweet girl who just needs a little time to blossom, Arlie may be your perfect match!OTHER PETS: Arlie will be happiest with a kitty friend or two.OWNER EXPERIENCE: Arlie will be best being adopted by someone with experience with more worried kitties.KIDS: Arlie is best suited for a home with older teens and up.ACTIVITY LEVEL: Arlie is currently a couch potato although we expect she will become more playful as she settles and becomes more comfortable in.VETERINARY CARE: Arlie is looking forward to meeting her new vet and receiving on-going vet care.LEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION: Arlie's adopter will require patients as she settles into her new home.GROOMING: Arlie takes great care of her pretty brown tabby coat.September 11, 2026, 1:08 pm

Story
We’ re pretty happy that Drew made his way to us! Drew has an eye condition that required surgery, so his new family should have a good relationship with their veterinarian and be prepared for ongoing monitoring of his eye.But don’ t let that fool you—Drew is a zany young kitty with plenty of personality! He’s looking for a family with lots of time, energy, and enthusiasm to keep up with his playful ways. A cat-savvy dog may make a fun friend for him, too.Drew is best suited for a home with older teens and up.If you’ re looking for a fun-loving kitty who will keep life interesting, Drew may be your guy!OTHER PETS: Given Drew's incredibly high-energy level other kitties need to be tolerant of high-energy cats. A cat savvy dog may be nice for him.OWNER EXPERIENCE: Drew's adopter must have experience with high-energy cats.KIDS: Drew is best suited for older teens and up.ACTIVITY LEVEL: Drew is a very busy kitty.VETERINARY CARE: Drew's adopter must have a relationship with a vet to monitor his eye.LEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION: We expect Drew to move pretty easily into his new home.GROOMING: Drew takes very good care of his handsome black coat.September 11, 2026, 1:08 pm
