Story
These sweet girls were littermates and are a bonded pair. They NEED to remain together. They are skittish with new people, loud noises, and other types of 'chaos', but I am sure that a patient caregiver would enjoy their affectionate sides. They would make perfect companions for seniors, as they love a predictable home routine. For example, they currently enjoy nightly treats hidden around the house like Easter eggs. Scintilla has the orange in her forehead 'M.' She is the most curious of the two and will likely be first to sniff your hand or explore the new terrain. Purrpetuity is more affectionate and most likely to become your lap cat. Earning their trust will be of utmost importance at first, but totally worth it. I am heartbroken to have to rehome them, but my family has had a recent cancer diagnosis, forcing changes to my living situation.

Story
Groot is a well behaved, loving cat. Unfortunately, my husband has developed a severe allergy. We are sad to have to re-home Groot. He is four years old and has been with us since a kitten. We have four kids and a six-year-old dog that he gets along well with. We think he likes a busier household. He’s mostly an indoor cat, but does like to go outside. He is a friendly cat, but not a lap cat, and very undemanding. He is happy to find a box or bed to curl up in.

Story
If you’re looking for a relaxed snuggle bug with a HUGE purr who would rather snooze than wreak havoc, this little lap warmer may be your next forever friend. June is very human-social and wants to spend most of her time cuddled up with her people. She sometimes meows at closed doors. June loves to meet new human friends of all ages. She is very tolerant of dogs and could adjust to a home with a cat who is respectful of her space but would prefer not to live with kittens or very playful adult cats. She is used to supervised outside time in a sheltered environment but could adjust to an indoor lifestyle if given lots of attention. Since she is 13, June prophylactically eats Hill’s K/D kidney kibble, which has kept her kidney values perfect. Like almost all cats, she has feline herpes, which is non-transmissible to humans or dogs and does not affect her other than some discharge from one eye. She is otherwise healthy. She is being rehomed due to her human’s allergies (despite shots).

Story
I adopted Elita at Dakin in Springfield in 2019. Her birthday is September 25, 2018. She’s very affectionate and highly intelligent. 20 minutes of playtime a day in tunnels, toy at end of wand, light chasing, or throwing toys for her to catch helps her, because she likes to groom. Elita also has a heart murmur that may need one day a heart ultrasound to rule out any illness, but many cats with heart murmurs don’t have any sources of issues with it. I feed Elita Iams healthy adult dry food - she asks for it by going into the kitchen but you’re welcome to feed her 2-3 times a day instead of her preference for grazing a little at a time. It’s best to reach your hand out and have her come to you. She lets kids pet her but she first has to get adjusted and might hide with kids. She doesn’t really cry if in pain or ill so notice any behavior changes if you’re worried like not eating. She will cry a little in cat carrier but not the whole way.I am giving away her fancy tunnels, cat tree, etc.

Story
🧶Lucy is adorable, playful, CUDDLY, sometimes shy, and very gentle—like a kitten in a sweet 6-year-old body. She’s been the love of our lives. She snuggles with her brother but is uncomfortable with our older cat. She is best as an only cat likely, & in a home with people around more, a steady routine. (Or a mostly-outdoor/unique setup?)🐈‍⬛ Her challenge is occasional peeing outside the litter box. The vet believes it’s behavioral—loneliness, late meals, or territorial stress. She has her own box for pee, cleaned daily, and uses it, mostly reliably. She’s had a couple mild UTIs that respond well to meds, sometimes with a spot of blood, but further tests are costly. (Less than 1x/ year)🐾She & her bro Merlin are secure together. But she might pee around due to competition. We're not home as much, & while she uses her box most of the time, it's hard to manage with us busier. We adore her & have waited for a loving home that fits her needs.1 person, wanting affection, solo pet, ideal!
