Story
I’m a kitty who has spirit, independence, curiosity, and an extreme love of treats and wet food. I love to play with toys, and I enjoy cat trees and high places. I get along well with dogs and cats and will do anything to hear you pop the top on a can of pate! Presently I am quite shy, but I do want to roam the house until I feel comfortable. It is taking me a bit because I’m nervous going from a foster to PetSmart. I love my pets and being talked to, but you will have to pick me up when I am prepared. There’s no mean in me, I just need some time to show my kitty skills. If you can be patient, I will be the best girl ever! Please come see me at PetSmart. Take your time talking to me, and I bet we become fast friends for life!

Story
Meet Peanut — a charming young guy with a big personality packed into one adorable package! Peanut is incredibly sweet, loves attention, and will happily follow his foster mom around the house to stay part of the action. He’s also quite the conversationalist and isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts with you throughout the day. Peanut enjoys snuggling just as much as he loves playtime, making him the perfect mix of affectionate and fun. One of his must-haves in his future home is a cozy window seat where he can keep watch on all the exciting outdoor happenings. Bird patrol, squirrel sightings, neighborhood updates—Peanut wants front-row seats. He may do well with a playful dog companion, though we’re not sure yet how he feels about other cats. Peanut would thrive in a home ready to appreciate his loving nature, playful spirit, and larger-than-life personality.

Story
Amy is a very sweet girl who will lie down next to you for pets and tummy rubs. Amy will be very shy at first and probably stay in a hidey hole for a few days. When she has settled in, she will greet you with enthusiasm when you walk in the room. I have enjoyed fostering her and she’s happy here, but what she really wants is a kitty friend and none of my cats will give her that. I would love for her to find a home with a friendly cat.

Coco is 4 years old and is very sweet! She’s does well loves to cuddle on your chest and get snuggles. She’s does well likes to play with feather cat toys and is great with dogs. She gets along with other cats but is not getting along with my son’s other male cat which is why we’re looking to rehome. She is up to date on all her shots and does well with cat baths. She will bring anyone joy!

Story
Hi there, my name is Dada. I’m a four-year-old, snow-white, male Persian cat with a princely personality and striking good looks to match. I am deaf and front-declawed. Though I can not hear, I experience the world in vivid detail and live each day with vibrant spirit. Like the absurd, nonsensical art movement I was named after, I bring a touch of whimsy to everyday life. I am full of sweetness with a side of cheeky charm. I show my affection in roguish ways. I’ll hop on your lap during bathroom breaks and supervise your toothbrushing routine. I’ll rearrange your personal affects and like magic, make your socks disappear. I’ll lick your toes until I can’t resist and must get a little nibble. I’m a jester in fur, and my curiosity knows no bounds. Once the game begins, I’ll chase, pounce, and hunt with all my might. A flick of a wand toy unleashes my inner acrobat, and spiral toys send me into joyful twirls and leaps. When the zoomies hit, I run like the wind—sometimes so fast that I crash into walls, only to bounce back undeterred. I’m a high-jumper who lands with theatrical thuds, and vacuums? I fear them not. I’ll trot at your heels until the call of my own fanciful world lures me away. When that happens, you might find me at the window, contemplating the flora, fauna, and neighbor. Or perhaps, I’ll be at the mirror, marveling at my reflection. After all, if you were this beautiful, you’d call yourself a masterpiece too! I have an independent streak, and I’m just as stubborn as I am sweet. I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer—partly because I can’t hear you, but mostly because I’m that determined. Luckily, I’m so convincingly cute that you won’t mind giving in! Call me a musician, because I’ll happily play you like a fiddle! When the day winds down, you’ll find me lounging by your side, mesmerized by bird videos on YouTube. I’m a perfect mix of mischief and merriment, keeping every day lively and fun. *I have litter box quirks and avoidance issues. I am on a prescription urinary diet to support my needs. With a calm and predictable routine, I’ve made great progress. I am looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help me be my best. With the right environment and plenty of loving care, I’ll continue to thrive—and keep life delightfully interesting!

Story
Hi, I’m Hobbes and I want to share my story. I was in a home before I was surrendered to Texas CARES. It was my one and only home and I was the star of the house, that is, until my family had a baby. After that, it seems I was set aside. The wonderful people at Texas CARES took me into their rescue but that is not where my story ends. You see, I am a very special boy and have had some pretty big ups and downs. In my foster home, I was having such a time using my litter box and no one could seem to figure out why I was going outside of it. They took me to the vet, where they ran tests and more tests. That wasn’t fun, because I am not a huge fan of going into the carrier (I told foster mom all about it on the ride) but I knew it was for my own good. My foster mom, along with the medical team, tried several different things. My food was changed, my foster mom used extra litter boxes, but I still would go outside the box. There was even a time where I heard talk of euthanasia. I’m not sure what that is but it sure didn’t sound good! I know my foster mom was so frustrated and really wanted to help me, but it was tough. Finally, foster mom and the medical team, along with the vets, started me on some different antibiotics and some medicine to help with my mental state. This seemed to be what was needed for me because I now use the litter box each and every time I need to go! So, you see, it took a little time, but I am finally ready to seek out a forever home. I will have to be on my special food, which helps prevent crystals in my urine, and I may have to be on my mental meds long term, but I take them like a champ. In fact, I don’t even think it’s medicine because it looks and tastes like a chicken treat. I enjoy my prescription food as well! I do get along with dogs and I have met my foster mom's cats but honestly, I’d probably prefer just to have my very own human to myself. I won’t be going up to the adoption center, so if you’d like to meet me and have a chat, my foster family will make arrangements for you to meet me! I really hope you will take a chance on me because I am a really wonderful boy and I am ready to be your best friend! Medical: Special Diet - He is now on CD Urinary food both dry and wet. Fluoxetine - Compounded Treat Chews - ordered monthly and delivered to his home.
