Story
Pawpsicle is in need of a foster home while they receive medical treatment. Reason for Foster: FeLV; underweight; recurring upper respiratory infection; possible early kidney diseaseFoster Time Frame: 2 - 3 weeks(The foster time frame may be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Pawpsicle is currently being monitored by our medical team for possible kidney issues. Additionally, they are being treated for an upper respiratory infection and will go home with medications to be given daily. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup appointment and the Foster team will supply all necessary items for a successful foster journey. FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus) is a condition that can affect a cat`s lifespan, but many cats with this virus can still live happy and healthy lives for a long time. While FeLV+ is not easily transmitted to humans, it can be spread among cats through saliva, urine, feces, and blood. For this reason, we recommend that FeLV+ cats be the only cat in a household or live with other FeLV+ cats. How to take this pet home...Adopt: Pawpsicle is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet? Story
Cinnamoroll is looking for a loving foster home where they can relax and recover while receiving treatment for ringworm. Reason for Foster: Ringworm Foster Time Frame: Approximately 3 weeks (The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Cinnamoroll is being treated for ringworm, a common and treatable fungal skin infection. While ringworm can be contagious to other pets, it is very manageable with proper precautions. We recommend keeping them in a separate room away from other pets, ideally a space that is easy to clean such as a bathroom, laundry room, or spare bedroom. A room without carpet or upholstered furniture works best. Treatment typically includes regular lime sulfur dips and antifungal medication, which will be provided by our medical team. Our staff will walk you through the treatment plan during your foster pickup appointment so you feel confident caring for this little one. Simple precautions such as washing your hands and changing clothes after handling your foster pet will help prevent the spread. Story
Madeye Moonie is looking for a loving foster home where they can rest and recover while receiving medical treatment. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: Approximately 2 weeks (Recheck 5/22)(The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Madeye Moonie is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other cats, we recommend keeping them separated from resident cats until they have fully recovered. A small, quiet space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom works well for recovery. They will go home with medication and all the supplies needed for their care. Once treatment is complete, they will return to Operation Kindness for their spay/neuter surgery and adoption. How to take this pet home: Adopt: Madeye Moonie is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet?
