Say hello to Calliope! A beautiful 2 year old, 5.4 pound, female, Domestic Shorthair. Much like her name-sake, we consider Calliope one of our muses, and she knows it. She`s an absolutely beautiful cat and loves nothing more than being the center of attention.Calliope is a talkative girl and likes to call you over to her to received all the affection and gentle petting. She loves to hunt a fishing rod toy and enjoys a brushing now and again. She`s a curious girl and she`ll want to explore every nook in a new home. Being the perfect little muse, Calliope struggles to share the attention and would do best in a home where she is the sole cat and the center of your world. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

Cocoa Puff, aka Cosmo, is a handsome DSH gray and white tabby male born approximately 5/29/2025. His beautiful fur actually looks the color of creamy cocoa. Cocoa Puff is a very sweet and cuddly kitty.  He is playful and gets along great with other cats and dogs. He's been in a foster home with another cat and small dog and plays well with both of them. Cocoa Puff is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. His adoption fee is $105.00March 11, 2026, 12:24 pm
