Story
Elvie is a gorgeous DMH tortoiseshell female born approximately 1/8/2026. Meet Elvie!  Elvie is one of six kittens born to a community cat in a Garland apartment complex, and she’s grown into a sweet, playful girl. She has a longer coat than her sister, Nora. Soft and fuzzy with extra touches of vibrant orange make her especially eye-catching. She’s playful, curious, and full of kitten energy—whether she’s chasing the laser light, leaping after the “Da Bird” feather toy, or tunneling through her favorite play spaces. Cardboard boxes filled with tissue paper? Instant entertainment. After playtime, she enjoys perching at the top of the cat tree to watch the outside world or relaxing with a fish aquarium video on screen. Elvie uses her scratchers well, has a great appetite, and brings a fun, lively presence wherever she goes. Like her sister, she hasn’t yet been introduced to dogs or children, so a home that can give her a gentle introduction (if needed) would be ideal. Elvie is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.April 22, 2026, 6:57 pm

Story
Nora is a beautiful DSH tortoiseshell female born approximately 1/8/2026. Meet Nora! Nora is one of six kittens born to a community cat in a Garland apartment complex, and she’s grown into a sweet, playful girl with a thoughtful side. She has a unique half-face marking and a sleeker, shorter coat than her sister, Elvie, giving her a striking look. Nora can be a little reserved when she first meets new people, but once she warms up, her playful personality shines. She loves chasing the laser light, batting at “Da Bird” feather toy, and diving into tunnels or cardboard boxes filled with crinkly tissue paper. She’s also a fan of lounging up high on the cat tree, where she can watch the world outside—or even enjoy a YouTube fish aquarium video. She gets along well with her siblings and other cats, uses a corrugated scratcher like a pro, and has a healthy love of food and playtime. Nora hasn’t been exposed to dogs or young kids yet, so a calm, patient home would help her feel secure and thrive. Nora is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.April 22, 2026, 6:57 pm

Story
Mikey is an adorable DSH brown tabby male born approximately 5/5/2025. Meet Mikey! Mikey is a gentle, soulful young tabby kitty with a heart as big as his journey. Rescued from life outdoors, he likely had little to no human contact at first. It took patience, love, and several months for Mikey to learn to trust—but once he did, he blossomed into an incredibly sweet and devoted companion. Now, Mikey is the definition of a quiet best friend. He loves spending time perched  by the window, watching the world go by—birds, people, cars—taking it all in with  curious eyes. When he’s not on lookout duty, you’ll often find him curled up happily on your lap, soaking in affection and giving it right back. Playtime is another of Mikey’s favorite things! He enjoys batting around catnip toys and zooming through his kitty tunnel with bursts of playful energy. And one of his  most charming quirks? His adorable, human-like stretch—both back legs stretched  straight out behind him—it’s guaranteed to make you smile every time. Mikey unfortunately tested positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This does not mean he has leukemia, but that he carries a virus that could suppress the immune system making him more susceptible to secondary infections, as well as causing cancers like lymphoma and leukemia. However, that does not mean he will live a life being sick and unhealthy. Quite the contrary, FeLV+ cats often live a happy and healthy life for years before succumbing to any disease. Mikey will need to be an only cat or adopted into a home with other FeLV+ kitties. Please see the link below for more information on FeLV cats: https://bestfriends.org/stories/features/feline-leukemia-misconceptions Mikey is a beautiful example of how love and patience can transform a life. He’s  ready to share his gentle spirit, playful side, and loyal companionship with a  forever home. Mikey is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. His adoption fee is $105.April 22, 2026, 6:57 pm

Story
Billie Eyeless is an adorable blind DSH brown tabby female born approximately 8/1/2025. Meet Billie Eyeless! Billie Eyeless may not see the world, but she feels every bit of its warmth—and gives it right back tenfold. Surrendered to a shelter and facing a difficult start, Billie lost her eyes, but somehow kept her light. These days, she navigates life with quiet confidence, guided by sound, touch, and a heart that seems to know exactly where you are—especially if there’s a lap involved! (Her favorite destination, by the way.) She’s wonderfully affectionate, the kind of cat who settles into you like she’s always belonged there. Toss her a toy that jingles or crinkles, and she’ll spring into action, proving that playtime is very much still on the agenda. Cat trees? She climbs them like a pro. Scratching posts? Consider them enthusiastically approved. Billie is a happy, thriving little soul who gets along with other cats and dogs, given a proper, gentle introduction. She just needs a bit of patience at first—but once she learns your rhythm, she fits into your life like a familiar song. If you’re looking for a companion who doesn’t need to see you to love you completely, Billie Eyeless is ready to find her way straight to your heart. Billie is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. Her adoption fee is $105.April 22, 2026, 6:57 pm
