She was the most shy of the group and it took her the longest to become comfortable around people. She is about 2 years old. She is talkative at times, especially when she knows her human is opening the wet food. She LOVES wet food. She gets along with all the other cats in the household and would do best in a house with other cats. She likes to be in the middle of everything all the time. She sleeps in front of the fireplace or on the ottoman near her human’s feet. She is not quite a lap cat yet, although she is getting there. With the right household we think she will grow into her own. Paul is an incredibly affectionate 4-year-old, domestic medium hair cat with a gentle and loving personality. If you sit down, there is a very good chance he'll immediately climb into your lap to keep you company. He is the type of cat that truly enjoys being close to his people and turns any house into a home with his sweet nature. Paul is FIV positive and FeLV negative. FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV positive cats live long, happy, and completely normal lives with proper care and regular veterinary visits. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds between cats and is not typically transmitted through casual contact such as sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling. Because of this, many FIV positive cats can safely live with other friendly, nonaggressive cats. At this time, Paul does not require any special medication or treatment. He simply deserves a loving indoor home where he can remain healthy, safe, and cared for like any other cat. Paul is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His fee is $100 and you can apply to adopt him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
