Story
Bean is a cuddly, loving boy, he wants nothing more to sit in a lap, get pet and take a nap. He is a bit shy at first but easy to lure out with food, specifically cheese. Very easy going never had any behavioral issues and has gotten along with both dogs and cats. He likes to hide under blankets to sleep, follow his favorite people like a little shadow and will hug your leg if he wants you to pet him. Would be happy to provide: cat carrier, litter box, auto feeder, water fountain, toys and a month's worth of food and litter to whomever decides to adopt. Bean is currently about 5 years old and was found in a parking garage when he was younger been with me for 4 of those years. He is a very good boy who needs someone who can spend more time with him. Thank you!

Story
Meet Butters! A captivating eight-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently living in Bolingbrook, IL, whose small frame is matched only by her enormous personality and expressive brown tabby stripes. Butters is the epitome of a cozy companion cat—charming, vocal, and delightfully quirky! She’s spent most of her days in the comfort of indoor life, with her favorite adventures being supervised porch visits where she breathes in the fresh air and chats animatedly with the local birds and squirrels. Her love for window-gazing is unmatched, especially when there’s a feathered friend fluttering by! This petite lady weighs in at just seven pounds, but don’t let her size fool you—Butters is packed with sass, smarts, and affection. She adores calm, older adults and would flourish in a peaceful home without large dogs, who tend to make her a bit anxious. Calm, gentle children who understand boundaries could be a lovely match for her tender spirit. A relaxed environment with a kindhearted pet parent who understands the value of patience and soft words would be just her style. Butters is a devoted cuddler who will happily curl up on your chest while purring contentedly. She responds when called, enjoys being picked up, and shows her love with endless head rubs and affectionate chatter! She’s also a certified toy enthusiast—especially fond of feathers on sticks, squeaky moving toys, and batting her paws under door cracks. Oh, and toilet paper? Consider it fair game in her eyes! Like many sensitive souls, Butters needs a calm setting to feel her best. Big dog energy has stressed her in the past, leading to some litter box misadventures, but she’s spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and fully litter-trained under the right conditions. She's not a fan of back, belly, or rump rubs—and isn’t shy about swiping gently to remind you—but it’s all part of her sassy charm! If you’re looking for a talkative, playful, and deeply loyal companion who will thrive with your love and patience, Butters might just be your girl! Could your quiet window seat be the next stage for this delightful tabby diva’s cozy adventures? Butters is also open to a foster home, so if you're not ready to adopt but still want to make a difference, fostering could be a perfect fit. Story
Meet Chalky and Rusti! A delightful pair of one-year-old Domestic Shorthairs currently living in Hot Springs, AR, whose days are filled with playful wrestling matches, cozy cuddles, and curious little adventures side by side. Chalky, a charming tabby boy with an adorable white nose and Rusti, his beautiful tabby sister with her soft white accents, is never far behind, weaving around him like a warm breeze. These two have spent their time exploring the great outdoors, lounging on sunny porches, and pouncing on feather toys with their bright, observant eyes! They may be a bit nervous around new faces or sudden sounds, but with patient words, gentle movements, and a few tasty treats, they blossom into affectionate little shadows who meow for attention and rub against your legs with all the love they’ve been waiting to share. Both are incredibly smart, picking up on routines quickly and learning the subtle language of their humans’ kindness and care. You’ll often find them wrestling each other like tiny lions one minute, then curled into a peaceful, purring heap the next. They adore feather toys, dangling ribbons, and any game that lets them use their natural athleticism and quick reflexes! As a bonded pair, they need to remain together, bringing double the joy and warmth into a new loving home ready to let them grow into confident, loving indoor companions. Chalky and Rusti are neutered and spayed, and they’re dreaming of a calm, supportive family who will help them leave behind porch life for sunny window sills, soft beds, and endless chin scratches! Their future pet parents will have the privilege of witnessing their transformation from skittish felines into confident, loving best friends. Could your heart and home be the safe haven where Chalky and Rusti’s story unfolds into a lifetime of snuggles, playful sprints, and gentle purrs? Story
Meet Charlie and Peanut! Spirited almost two-year-old bonded brothers currently living in Greenville, TX, whose sleek black coats and soul-deep sibling bond make them a double dose of feline magic. These handsome Domestic Short Hair boys are like mirror images, until you notice their eyes. Charlie gazes at the world with calm golden-yellow eyes, while Peanut watches curiously through green ones. Together since birth, they’ve done everything side by side. Exploring, playing, napping, and growing up in a loving home where they were nurtured from tiny kittens into confident young cats. Charlie is the quiet thinker. He’s independent and content to observe from a comfy perch, but when it comes time for a cozy nap, he’s often found curled up right next to Peanut. His soft purr is more of a whisper, but his presence is just as comforting. He thrives in calm companionship and prefers a gentler approach to affection. Peanut is the more outgoing of the two, known for his thunderous purr and charming habit of seeking affection on his own terms. He’s clever, quick on his paws, and loves attention as long as he’s calling the shots. Be warned: this guy has mastered the art of the great escape and has a special fascination with doors. A mindful caregiver and secure home setup will keep him safe and sound. These two are more than housemates, they’re lifelong brothers and emotional anchors for one another. They play, snuggle, and explore the world together, and any new loving home must be ready to welcome both. They're vaccinated, neutered, and comfortable around other cats, making them a great match for a relaxed, cat-friendly environment. Are you ready to open your heart to not one, but two incredible companions who will fill your days with purrs, playful moments, and the kind of quiet comfort only bonded brothers can bring? Story
Phineas is a mostly chocolate point Siamese and a great companion. He had a rough start in life but was rescued off the street when he was four or five weeks old (Photo 1) but has grown from teacup size to about 20 pounds (Photo 2 &3). He is a bit shy but once he warms up to you, he will cuddle next to you, loves to play and is something of a talker. Phineas is a good mate to my other Siamese. They share water and food bowls, groom, and chase each other around my apartment. I don't know how he would be with a dog but he could be introduced slowly to another cat or kitten. He doesn't like sharing any litter box with my other cat and this is the reason he needs to be rehomed.

Story
Meet Tomie! A charming five-year-old Domestic Shorthair currently living in Hays, TX, whose sleek black coat and soulful eyes are matched only by his playful spirit and cuddle-loving heart. Tomie is a one-of-a-kind kitty companion—a confident, affectionate fellow who thrives in the spotlight as the only pet in the home. While some cats enjoy a bustling feline crew, Tomie is happiest when he’s the solo star of the show, soaking up every moment of attention from his favorite human. He’s a true shadow cat, quietly trailing behind you from room to room, always curious and always close. Even your bathroom breaks might include a soft little “meow” chorus just to remind you he’s nearby and ready for love! At 11 pounds of pure purrfection, Tomie brings big personality in a medium-sized package. He’s a lap-sitter extraordinaire, often curling up like a plush blanket while you relax—or gently snoozing across your chest, content as can be. Pick him up like a baby and he’ll melt into your arms, eyes half-closed in total trust! When playtime rolls around, Tomie transforms into a string-chasing ninja. Feather wands, shoelaces, and the infamous red dot from a laser pointer all send him dashing and leaping with joyful precision! He also enjoys lighthearted play-fights with your hands—nothing too rough, just enough to keep both of you giggling. His inquisitive nature makes puzzle feeders and treat dispensers a hit, giving him a healthy outlet for his sharp mind and natural hunter instincts. Tomie thrives on routine, especially when it comes to his twice-daily meals. He’s very food-motivated and has no problem letting you know when dinner is due, though a timed feeder can help keep everyone’s schedule running smoothly. Tomie is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He’s been under some stress in his current apartment setting, especially since sharing space with another cat, and would blossom in a calm, spacious home with a caring guardian ready to spoil him with affection and daily playtime. Could your home be the peaceful haven Tomie needs to finally stretch, explore, and shine? To learn more or arrange a meeting, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com!
