Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. &#239&#191&#188 Josie is 1-1/2 years old, plays with his foster siblings, and manages to get around just fine, despite the fact that he has only one eye, and that particular eye has limited vision. He really doesn't care if he can see perfectly or not because the rest of him works just fine!  The litter box is not an issue, and he has no trouble finding his way up and down furniture. He also tested negative for FelvFIV and is up to date on vaccines. Do you think he would fit in with your feline family? We invite you to fill out an application from our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Josie Cat’s adoption fee is sponsored by Caitlyn in honor of Jack Williams!    PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 5:15 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Some cats have unique personality traits that need to be honored and respected, and beautiful LUNA LU is one of those! Luna needs to be the ONLY CAT in the household and preferably the only animal; as she has told us in no uncertain terms that she doesn't like to share her person/people. She is happiest when she can get your full attention. Her true demeanor will shine if she is in a home that is gentle and not too demanding, otherwise you could have a feisty fluff. Here are her shining stars as listed by her foster mom: "She is the first to greet you in the bathroom. She will lay next to you, she will lay on you and she will lay at the foot of your bed. She is loving and will show with her nuzzling. She isn't fond of being picked up and held for extended time, probably because of her larger sized frame. She is faithful to a clean litterbox. She loves her vertical scratching post and her flat cardboard-scratch box. I have never seen her pick any furniture with her claws." Himalayan cats are indoor-only cats. Himalayans are not fighters by nature. They would not do well, defensively, against typical outdoor animals, so her adopter must remain vigilant and not let her outdoors! **She is currently on prescription dry food, due to having sensitive digestion issues which could be due to stress. **She isn't fond of a lot of brushing, so a clip at least once a year is recommended to eliminate the matting that can occur due to her thick dense coat.  Her adoption fee is $85.00     Successful adopters will live locally in Lynchburg City or Campbell County, or a county touching Campbell County. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucille is still learning to trust. The difference between Lucille and feral cats outside is that Lucille is exposed to indoor sounds, and can observe from her housemates how to interact and rely on humans for food and medical care if needed. we are fortunate that we have foster homes willing to give cats like Lucille the time needed to adapt and adjust to being loved. Lucille is truly a gorgeous color, and a lovely addition to her foster home… As long as her foster mom doesn’t reach for her or get closer than 3 to 4 feet away. We’re excited about the fact that she now allows us to see her at all, rather than hiding in a corner. We can’t wait till Lucille is friendly enough to find a home! Good morning to Lucille! We are so glad this seven month old has decided it’s OK to make herself less invisible and more visible to her foster mom anyway. Looking forward to her Continue socialization and her foster home individual adoption. She is very striking! She spent two months at the shelter, hiding in the corner of her cage the best she could. She’s really enjoying the opportunity to get out and explore. Sweet Lucille is still very shy but is enjoying the time her foster mom is giving her to become adjusted to her surroundings. Where the first week was spent hiding from foster mom, now she is slinking out for a quick check on the progress of lunch, and even sneaks a peek in public of the happenings around her. We continue to give her the needed time to adjust.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Poppy may be eight months old, but she is the diminutive size of a kitten. She has been in the care of a foster mom for two months, and is thriving, but we are not sure what her future holds.  She was spayed recently, and is recovering in the loving care of her foster mom, but she is available for adoption, as long as her adopter realizes she may be special needs and may have only limited time here on this earth.  No diagnosis has been made, but she exhibits symptoms of possible "dry FIP," which presents differently than the FIP we normally see. She may have years of life ahead of her, but she may have only months. We would love to find her a home where time is not as important as the love that she shows while she is here.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
