Story
I got Oreo when my exes mothers cat got pregnant by a feral cat, Oreo has been with me since she was born, she is currently two. She loves to play, cuddle (on her own terms) and loves being outside. She is very chill and sweet. I would like for her to have a yard she can run around in, and to be around people who will cherish her until her last days. Oreo has fleas but, other than that she’s healthy as a horse.

Story
Sweet Boy Just Wanting A Chance In Life..... Amherst, VA Oliver came to us a year ago as a stray. We believe that he was abandoned. We fed him throughout the winter. He would come and go. In the spring we noticed that the elements and his encounters with other animals were having a great effect on him. He was getting beat up. We could not watch that happen so we captured him and have been keeping him indoors. We took him to our Vet and he has all required shots up til now. He was, however, diagnosed with FIV and would need an FIV friendly home environment. We have continued to care for him and he has thrived indoors for many months. He is sweet and good natured. He loves our attention and will crawl into our laps to cuddle. Our desire is to find him the best home ever. He is a survivor and deserves nothing but the best.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This cat's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. March 8, 2026, 1:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Noir is a little enigma wrapped in sleek, midnight-black fur. With eyes that gleam like hidden treasures in the moonlight, this sweet, shy kitten has a story to tell, but she's waiting for just the right person to help her share it. Though she may be a little timid at first, don’t let that fool you; there’s a heart of gold beneath her mysterious exterior. Noir has all the makings of a perfect companion for someone willing to take the time to understand her quiet nature. She loves curling up in a safe, cozy spot, where she can observe her surroundings, taking in the world at her own pace. In time, with patience and kindness, she’ll slowly open up, revealing her playful side and her sweet, gentle demeanor. Her soft purrs are like a secret melody, gentle but warming, and once Noir feels at home, you’ll find her snuggling up beside you, offering her love and trust one paw at a time. A patient home without too much hustle and bustle is ideal, where Noir can gradually build her confidence and begin to flourish. She needs someone who can give her the time she deserves and shower her with love at her own pace. If you’re someone who enjoys the thrill of a mystery and the reward of watching a shy little soul grow, then Noir might just be your perfect match. In return for your patience, she’ll offer you a loyalty as deep as the night sky and a companionship that’s truly special. Will you be the one to bring this quiet, enchanting kitten out of her shell and into her happily-ever-after? Noir's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!).
