Story
Say hello to the “Black List” crew. These 4 adorable, fun and playful kitties will bring your home so much joy. Their mom was a stray cat that came up to a home in the country and gave birth. The nice owner gave her a forever home but asked us to find homes for the babies so that’s what we will do. They were born about the middle of November so if all goes as planned, they will be fully vetted and ready to leave the next the last week of January. You can read all about our adoption process and how Transport works at Funnyfarmpets.org. That is where you can also submit the application to adopt. These kittens are fostered in West Tennessee. Their local adoption fee is 165. If they require transport, there will be an additional charge of $115.

Story
Sweet Boy Just Wanting A Chance In Life..... Amherst, VA Oliver came to us a year ago as a stray. We believe that he was abandoned. We fed him throughout the winter. He would come and go. In the spring we noticed that the elements and his encounters with other animals were having a great effect on him. He was getting beat up. We could not watch that happen so we captured him and have been keeping him indoors. We took him to our Vet and he has all required shots up til now. He was, however, diagnosed with FIV and would need an FIV friendly home environment. We have continued to care for him and he has thrived indoors for many months. He is sweet and good natured. He loves our attention and will crawl into our laps to cuddle. Our desire is to find him the best home ever. He is a survivor and deserves nothing but the best.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Calliope is an independent cat who appreciates pets and kisses, but also doesn’t mind alone time. She is not a fan of other cats, but with slow introductions/acclimations, she will tolerate them.  She is a low maintenance kitty who faithfully uses her litter box. At only 8 years young and she has a lot of life to live and a lot of love to give! She loves to play with toys! She is vetted, healthy and ready to find her new forever home! This cat's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. March 8, 2026, 1:11 pm
