Story
Meet 1 year-old handsome Nathan! This sweet 46 pound boy came in as a stray to Oakland animal services were sadly he ran out of time and hope. With Shelter being max capacity and too many dogs a shy dog will just fall between the cracks. This sweet boy locked confidence at the shelter. He was shut down and terrified. Ever since getting into Foster he is now blossoming, happy and we know he has such a great personality. Just waiting to shine. He’s very dog friendly, both big and small and would thrive most in a home as a second dog where he had a companion and a confident leader. he loves to romp and play and is food motivated. He doesn’t appear to have any formal training and he’s only about two years young. Our best guess is that he is a border collie terrier mix is the perfect size and age for someone willing to train, commit to continued socialization and eager to see his success. he has an amazing Foster family who is working on all basic skills daily. If you’re looking for an active walking partner, he could be your buddy. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. She's a sensitive soul with a playful spirit, loves belly rubs, and gives the best hugs. Whether you're out exploring or settling in for a cozy movie night, Amaya will be right by your side. Why You'll Love Amaya:&#194&#149 Incredibly smart&#194&#151used the doggy door on Day 1!&#194&#149 Full of playful energy&#194&#151would thrive learning tricks and doing training games&#194&#149 Potty training is going great&#194&#149 Loves toys, long walks, and mental enrichment&#194&#149 A champion cuddler and snack enthusiast (puzzle feeders recommended!)&#194&#149 Friendly with other dogs&#194&#149 Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on flea preventionIdeal Home:Amaya will blossom in a loving, patient home that understands the needs of a smart, active working breed mix. She's still learning some basic skills and manners, but with consistency and positive training, she'll thrive. She tends to gulp her food&#194&#151possibly from past food insecurity&#194&#151so she'd benefit from a slow feeder bowl or being fed via Kongs or puzzle toys. Right now, she should be fed in her crate, away from other dogs, as she may guard her food.Crate training is still a new experience for her, but she's making steady progress with baby steps and going in on her own now and getting used to it. With the right support, she's going to shine.Amaya hasn't been tested with cats or children yet, but her curious and playful nature suggests she could be a wonderful companion for the right match.Ready to meet your new best friend?Submit a detailed adoption application at www.k9ppr.orgLocation: Lamorinda Area (East Bay Area), CAApril 9, 2025, 8:16 pm

Story
Maddie is approximately a year old sweetheart. She is petite weighing only 35lbs and she is a busy girl. Maddie loves hiking and has excellent recall when off leash. She does well on leash and she loves being out and about. She can be a bit slow to greet new people but since Maddie was abandoned we don't know her past but inclined to think she was not treated well. Maddie loves her foster family and is always active making sure they are safe. She is extremely loyal. She is smart, agile and a love bug. She is house trained, loves driving in the car and she knows several commands such as sit, down, come. She is very eager to please. She is great with older kids. She can be selected about other dogs and as she likes to be in charge she does better with male dogs.  ##2323588##

Story
This sweet girl is Harley! She is so smart and a wonderful companion. She learns quickly and is always looking out for you. Harley is either playing with her dog buds, laying in the yard by herself watching the world or at your feet. She gets along great with the big and little dogs, and the cat in her foster home, and anyone else who comes around. She is energetic and needs daily exercise, but can chill with the best of them. Harley is spayed, chipped, and vaxed (but needs rabies). She was a little shy and timid when she arrived to this home, but now goes on walks and is curious about everyone, and is building more confidence every day. Her brother got a DNA test that also included Great Pyre, Australian Shepard, and Border Collie.
