Story
Meet Popeye - Your Fun-Loving, Loyal Sidekick Popeye is a little over 1 year old Lab/Collie mix (41 lbs) who is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. He was just 8 months old when he was abandoned overnight in front of the shelter, and since then, he's been patiently waiting for someone to choose him. Despite his heartbreaking start, Popeye has kept his happy, playful spirit and loving personality. He's full of life and brings that perfect mix of youthful energy and cuddle time. Whether it's a game of chase, a long walk, or curling up next to you after a day of fun, Popeye is all in. He's affectionate, loyal, and eager to be part of a family. Popeye is currently living in a foster home with a foster family, and he has already made himself quite comfortable in a home environment. He walks nicely on a leash, appears to be crate trained, and is eager to learn. With continued structure, consistency, and positive training, Popeye will continue to grow into a well-mannered, devoted companion. Popeye is looking for a home where he can truly thrive. He does best with female dogs only and is not a match for homes with male dogs or small dogs. A meet and greet is recommended to ensure the best fit. Popeye is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his rabies and core vaccinations, and heartworm negative - he's healthy and ready to go home. Because Popeye is in foster care, an approved online adoption application is required before scheduling a meet and greet. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate dog who will keep you active, make you laugh, and be your loyal best friend, Popeye is ready to meet you. He's waited long enough - now it's his turn to be chosen. Story
Mork came in with Mindy where they were part of a large group of dogs that were abandoned in a poor area known for stray dogs. They survived because a few people in that area fed them, and 1 lady in particular tries to help as many as she can. We took them to get them off the street and give them a better life. These are sweet dogs that just need a chance to show you their personalities and their love. Rescued dogs like this make great pets because they are so grateful. Mork is a favorite here at the rescue. We think Mork is a Retriever, and Collie or Shepherd. He did well in the car and everyone at the Vet's office fell in love with him. He can be adopted alone or with Mindy. Mork is well mannered and hopes you will be his forever home.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Pinto was one of 7 pups that came to us with their Mom, Paisley. They were very fearful and unsocialized. Over time we rehabilitated 3 of his siblings and they were adopted. Pinto is now showing signs of progress and for the right home, is ready. A loving and patient home is what he needs to overcome his remaining fears but he is loving and wants to be your good boy! He's beautiful and the only one that looks like a Collie mix.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Meet the social butterfly Nova – she’s never met a human she didn’t love. She is a 9-month-old, 45 lb, collie mix, with a goofy but very affectionate personality. She was adopted 6 months ago from a shelter, and she was so scared she would only belly crawl for days. With time and attention, she’s transformed into a mostly confident, curious, loving girl. Nova is fully up to date on all her vaccines, is spayed, and microchipped. Nova is a playful busy bee who loves to chase balls, carry around her stuffed toys, and snuggle. She has recently learned to bring the ball back for it to be thrown again and she gets very excited about it! She gets along with dogs and currently lives with 2 other dogs but is untried with cats. She gets along great with the 5-year-old German Shepherd but has recently started having issues with our 4-year-old Shepherd mix who is no longer tolerant of Nova’s puppy behavior. Nova loves to cuddle up with her humans and is the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had. She also loves cuddling up to the other dogs or making a nest out of her blankets and snuggling down into it. An ideal home for Nova would be one with a yard. She loves to go out and sniff around, chase the other dogs, and sunbathe. She enjoys school age children but hasn’t had any exposure to kids under 6. She would do best with a human that works from home or has other dogs she can seek comfort from when the humans aren’t home. She is a sensitive girl that is moderately high energy and very happy. Nova is crate and house trained, and knows sit, come, here. We’re still working on stay and down. She is a smart pup that enjoys using her brain with treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and training. She knows how to walk on a leash but has become fearful of being on leash if trying to leave out the front door due to recently being attacked while on a walk. She has fully recovered from the attack physically but has some emotional healing she’ll continue to need love and encouragement to get through. She has no issues being on the leash in the back yard. She has recently discovered that car rides aren’t so scary when she’s in her car bed that allows her to be buckled in and feeling secure. Nova is food possessive, so she is fed separately from the other dogs. Since she is still a puppy, additional training will help with this issue. She does well taking treats from my hand with the other dogs next to her. Nova is being rehomed due to my 4 year old dog no longer being tolerant of her. After the dog attack, Nova struggled with some personality changes – not bad changes, just not tolerable to my older girl who is highly anxious and twice the size of Nova. Nova has had zero issues with my 5 year old girl who is pretty laid back so it’s definitely the 4 year old’s issue and not Nova's. Unfortunately, the stress between the two of them is too high to allow either of them to live their best life. This precious pup is deserving of the perfect furever home where she can shower you with love and silliness. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Nova today! Story
*UPDATE* We have moved to Fort Worth, but will still gladly drive Daisy wherever she can find a nice home. We received Daisy when she was 10 weeks old. She is 2 years old (born around January of 2024). Daisy is a very snuggly cuddly lap dog. She is not super adventerous, but does enjoy going on walks and laying out in the sun and in the grass. Her favorite things to do are laying on her bed or in your lap with lots of love and pets. She is very smart and listens well to commands like sitting, staying, or coming when called. She is very social and loves meeting new humans and dogs alike. She loves kids and babies, but does get so excited that she jumps up to kiss and greet everyone she meets, but there is not a mean bone in her body. She is a real sweetheart and would be perfect in a home that will show her lots of love and affection.

Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

Story
Meet Outlaw! Outlaw is a 3-year-old male Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix weighing around 44 lbs who was found on 04/23/26 off Brockway Dr. in Rockwall. Unfortunately, he was never reclaimed and is now available for adoption and ready for a fresh start. Outlaw is new to the crew, so we are still getting to know him—stay tuned for updates as we learn more about his personality. What we do know is that he appears shy at first, which is not uncommon in the shelter environment, but he seems to want to be around people and is already showing interest in human companionship. He is also learning his way around a leash and seems to be catching on fairly quickly. Because Outlaw really enjoys being around people, he would do best with a family that is home more often than not, has someone who works from home, or has a stay-at-home household member. He is not a dog that will be happy spending long periods alone in a yard. In fact, he may try to find his way out to seek companionship, so he will need a home committed to keeping him safely indoors and including him as part of the family. Outlaw does appear to do best with female dog companions that can match his energy level and play style. Meet and greets are suggested for adopters who currently have another dog in the home to help ensure a good match. Outlaw's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccine, and boosters to date. He is heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS his treatment is sponsored. An approved online adoption application is required for meet and greets as well as for adoption. Apply online at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
