Meet Popeye - Your Fun-Loving, Loyal Sidekick Popeye is a little over 1 year old Lab/Collie mix (41 lbs) who is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. He was just 8 months old when he was abandoned overnight in front of the shelter, and since then, he's been patiently waiting for someone to choose him. Despite his heartbreaking start, Popeye has kept his happy, playful spirit and loving personality. He's full of life and brings that perfect mix of youthful energy and cuddle time. Whether it's a game of chase, a long walk, or curling up next to you after a day of fun, Popeye is all in. He's affectionate, loyal, and eager to be part of a family. Popeye is currently living in a foster home with a foster family, and he has already made himself quite comfortable in a home environment. He walks nicely on a leash, appears to be crate trained, and is eager to learn. With continued structure, consistency, and positive training, Popeye will continue to grow into a well-mannered, devoted companion. Popeye is looking for a home where he can truly thrive. He does best with female dogs only and is not a match for homes with male dogs or small dogs. A meet and greet is recommended to ensure the best fit. Popeye is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his rabies and core vaccinations, and heartworm negative - he's healthy and ready to go home. Because Popeye is in foster care, an approved online adoption application is required before scheduling a meet and greet.
