Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Hi, I’m Sheldon! I’m a 4-month-old collie mix with a gentle personality and a big heart. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and I’m already showing how affectionate, curious, and well-behaved I can be. I love toys, I’m confident for my age, and I’m always happy to soak up attention from anyone willing to give it. I’m very treat-motivated and eager to learn, and with a little leash training I’ll make an amazing walking buddy. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful puppy who will grow into a loyal best friend, I’d love the chance to meet you.

Story
Meet Bravo, a 35-pound sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little timid at first, he warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, loyal companion. Bravo gets along well with other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression. He’s still working on building his confidence, doorways and new environments can be a little scary but he’s improving every day and walking better on a leash with each outing. Bravo is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll thrive in a calm, caring home where he can continue to blossom.

Story
Meet Chunk -- the Ultimate Lovebug in a Furry Package. Born around April 1, 2025, Chunk entered the world as a fluffy little puffball, earning his name with his irresistible roundness and charm. Today, he&#39s blossomed into a cuddly, goofy, affectionate bundle of joy with a heart as big as his paws. Chunk is a gentle soul who lives for tummy rubs and thrives on love. He adores everyone and everything: people, cats, grasshoppers, squeaky toys, you name it. His sweet, expressive eyes will melt your heart, and when he gets you all to himself, he&#39ll melt right into your arms. His favorite things include treats, toys, playtime, cuddle time, and -- most of all -- affection. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, especially around smaller kids, and will just need gentle guidance to learn calm manners. Chunk is looking for a forever home that can offer patience for some more training (he&#39s not housebroken yet), walks and outdoor playtime, a secure yard to romp, and indoor bed for snuggles. In return, Chunk will shower his family with endless love, loyalty, and laughter. He truly is the perfect dog and whoever welcomes him home will be blessed by his giant heart. Chunk is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Chunk is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.October 26, 2025, 6:21 pm

Story
t's me, Mo- the guy with the big blue eyes, spotted nose, and a tongue that sometimes forgets to stay in my mouth. I've been patiently waiting at my finders home, dreaming about the day I finally get my forever home.  Here is what you should know about me: I am very loveable I love people and dogs of all sizes I am fascinated by horses Car rides are the best I was abandoned and starved, so food really excites me Bully sticks are my favorite I love playing fetch I want to be taken on walks but my finder/foster has too many dogs and no time to walk me. I don't need anything fancy, just patience, kindness and a family who has time for me.  Mo is one year old and 59 lbs Kelpie mix who was found stray by a kind citizen. Months went by without an owner coming forward and now Mo is searching for a new family that can give him all the love and attention he deserves. He's house and crate trained and gets along great with other dogs and cats.  Mo is neutered, vaccinated, microchiped and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $275. Story
We call her Orphan Annie since we found her abandoned on a hiking trail. Sort of amazing now that we have gotten to know her and that she stayed in one place long enough to be rescued.Annie is probably a Stubby Tail Cattle Dog, very much an Australian Cattle Dog with an emphasis on being active and engaged. Annie is typical of the herding breed, meant to nip at others to direct where to go. For this reason, she would not be good in a home with young children and is the kind of girl who needs a job.Annie loves being active and into everything. She usually has two speeds, sleeping, and full blast; unless she is one-on-one with her human when she is totally engaged. She is smart and would be a terrific girl to train for just about any high activity - herding, agility, anything that keeps her thinking and able to get praise for doing the right thing. This beautiful, compact girl will give back 200 percent and is capable of complex tasks; high endurance and willingness to please. If you need a working companion to be part of your everyday life you could not find a better match. She is fully vetted, microchipped, spayed, and current with her flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
