Story
Buttercup was found along with her siblings dumped in an are our Rescue does outreach. She’s now safe, loved, and getting to experience life as an indoor dog. She is just 12 weeks old and already weighs 26 pounds. We’ve sent off her DNA test and can’t wait to find out what breeds make up this adorable girl!
From the moment Buttercup climbed into the car for her freedom ride, she wore the biggest smile, as if she knew she was finally safe. Her first stop was a much needed bath, followed by a warm welcome at her foster home.
Buttercup is an incredibly sweet, happy puppy, and we can’t wait to watch her grow and thrive. A perpetually cheerful puppy, she sleeping through the night without any accidents. During the day, she takes naps in her kennel or in the office while her foster mom works. In the evening she’s happy curling up and cuddling next to her foster mom on the couch. She’s been working hard on her puppy manners. She’s learning not to jump on people (she’s just so excited to greet them) and walking nicely on a leash. She’s also starting to grasp some basic commands.
we know Buttercup is going to be a large dog and we ask no small children in her future home. We are unsure at this time if she needs another dog in the home. No apartments for Buttercup she needs a backyard due to her size.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
