Pinto is now showing signs of progress and for the right home, is ready. A loving and patient home is what he needs to overcome his remaining fears but he is loving and wants to be your good boy! Mork came in with Mindy where they were part of a large group of dogs that were abandoned in a poor area known for stray dogs. They survived because a few people in that area fed them, and 1 lady in particular tries to help as many as she can. We took them to get them off the street and give them a better life. These are sweet dogs that just need a chance to show you their personalities and their love. Rescued dogs like this make great pets because they are so grateful. Mork is a favorite here at the rescue. We think Mork is a Retriever, and Collie or Shepherd. He did well in the car and everyone at the Vet's office fell in love with him. He can be adopted alone or with Mindy. This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate.He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. Kira is an approximately 7 month old female Kelpie/Basenji mix weighing approx. 36 pounds who is now looking for a patient, understanding home where she can finally feel safe and secure. Kira is shy at first but has a very sweet nature once she begins to warm up. She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need an experienced dog owner who can provide guidance, structure, and patience in order to build her confidence and learn how to simply be a dog again. She will benefit from continued leash training and positive reinforcement to help her thrive. Kira has not yet been tested with other dogs and is not recommended with children under the age of 16.
