Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
Meet the social butterfly Nova – she’s never met a human she didn’t love. She is a 9-month-old, 45 lb, collie mix, with a goofy but very affectionate personality. She was adopted 6 months ago from a shelter, and she was so scared she would only belly crawl for days. With time and attention, she’s transformed into a mostly confident, curious, loving girl. Nova is fully up to date on all her vaccines, is spayed, and microchipped. Nova is a playful busy bee who loves to chase balls, carry around her stuffed toys, and snuggle. She has recently learned to bring the ball back for it to be thrown again and she gets very excited about it! She gets along with dogs and currently lives with 2 other dogs but is untried with cats. She gets along great with the 5-year-old German Shepherd but has recently started having issues with our 4-year-old Shepherd mix who is no longer tolerant of Nova’s puppy behavior. Nova loves to cuddle up with her humans and is the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had. She also loves cuddling up to the other dogs or making a nest out of her blankets and snuggling down into it. An ideal home for Nova would be one with a yard. She loves to go out and sniff around, chase the other dogs, and sunbathe. She enjoys school age children but hasn’t had any exposure to kids under 6. She would do best with a human that works from home or has other dogs she can seek comfort from when the humans aren’t home. She is a sensitive girl that is moderately high energy and very happy. Nova is crate and house trained, and knows sit, come, here. We’re still working on stay and down. She is a smart pup that enjoys using her brain with treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and training. She knows how to walk on a leash but has become fearful of being on leash if trying to leave out the front door due to recently being attacked while on a walk. She has fully recovered from the attack physically but has some emotional healing she’ll continue to need love and encouragement to get through. She has no issues being on the leash in the back yard. She has recently discovered that car rides aren’t so scary when she’s in her car bed that allows her to be buckled in and feeling secure. Nova is food possessive, so she is fed separately from the other dogs. Since she is still a puppy, additional training will help with this issue. She does well taking treats from my hand with the other dogs next to her. Nova is being rehomed due to my 4 year old dog no longer being tolerant of her. After the dog attack, Nova struggled with some personality changes – not bad changes, just not tolerable to my older girl who is highly anxious and twice the size of Nova. Nova has had zero issues with my 5 year old girl who is pretty laid back so it’s definitely the 4 year old’s issue and not Nova's. Unfortunately, the stress between the two of them is too high to allow either of them to live their best life. This precious pup is deserving of the perfect furever home where she can shower you with love and silliness. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Nova today! Meet Bravo, a 35-pound sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little timid at first, he warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, loyal companion. Bravo gets along well with other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression. He’s still working on building his confidence, doorways and new environments can be a little scary but he’s improving every day and walking better on a leash with each outing. Bravo is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll thrive in a calm, caring home where he can continue to blossom.

Meet Scout City: The Handsome Hound Looking for His Forever Home! Introducing Scout City, our nearly six-year-old hound mix who's ready to find a loving forever home. Weighing in at a sturdy 87 pounds, Scout is a handsome and friendly boy who has faced a lot in his life but remains full of love and loyalty. Scout was born in our care in 2019 after his mom was brought to the shelter. Sadly, his mom couldn't leave the shelter due to protocol and contracted distemper, leaving Scout as the sole survivor of his litter. Adopted as a puppy, Scout's journey took a tough turn when he was abandoned by his adopter at the shelter following a breakup. Since then, Scout has been living in boarding, waiting patiently for his chance at a stable, loving home. Scout can be a little timid in new situations, but once he relaxes, his whole face lights up with joy. He loves toys and treats, and his happy-go-lucky nature makes him a delightful family dog. Scout does well with other dogs and enjoys both playing with canine friends and having quiet time by himself. This speckled dude is one of our favorites. He's a large, good-looking guy with a heart full of love to give. Although he has some separation anxiety, Scout's friendly disposition and desire to be a loyal companion make him a wonderful addition to any family willing to give him the time and understanding he needs. Scout is looking for a forever home where he can finally experience the stability and love he deserves. If you're searching for a loving, playful, and loyal companion who will bring joy to your life, Scout is your guy. Adopt Scout City today and give him the forever home he's been dreaming of! Story
Meet Fella: The Distinguished Gentleman with a Goofy Side! Say hello to Fella, our big, beautiful, and well-marked boy who's always ready for a game of fetch! At seven years old and weighing in at a solid 80 pounds, Fella is quite the distinguished gentleman. He's got a heart full of love and a playful spirit that will bring endless joy to your life. Fella is all about that ball life-he loves to play until your arm hurts! He knows all his basic commands and works well on a leash, making him a delight to take on walks and adventures. With a few treats and some minutes, he'll entertain you with rollovers, shakes, and quickly learn new tricks. This sweet-faced boy, with his adorable freckles, is well-behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. While he's not a fan of cats, Fella is all about making human friends, even if he plays it cool at first. Underneath his reserved exterior, you'll find a goofy side and a loyal heart that will warm up to you in no time. Making new dog friends isn't always easy for Fella, as his big, strong presence can be a bit intimidating at first. However, he's lived in a home with other dogs before being surrendered to the shelter, and with proper introductions and decompression, he would do great as part of a pack. Fella loves car rides, enjoys good walks, and is a fantastic hiker and runner. He recently went in for photographs and made himself right at home in the studio, showcasing his love for belly rubs and the comfort of a home. Fella is looking for a foster or adopter who can promise to be a good friend to him, and he promises to be a sweet, loyal companion. If you're looking for a distinguished gentleman with a playful side, Fella is your guy. Adopt or foster Fella today and let this charming boy become a beloved member of your family! Story
Meet Tyson — The Comeback Kid with Three Legs and a Heart Full of Love! Tyson’s story started with heartbreak but has become one of pure resilience and love. Found abandoned in a park at just 13 weeks old, Tyson had already endured more than most dogs do in a lifetime. He was badly injured and missing half of one leg. Despite the odds, this brave boy made an incredible recovery — and while his leg had to be amputated, it never slowed him down one hop! Tyson was adopted into a loving home, but after five wonderful years, his family’s circumstances changed, and they could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. He’s now looking for a new forever family who can match his energy, love, and zest for life. He is around 60 lbs, a great Pyrenees/heeler mix. He would do best in home with no small children. He is a beautiful boy! Tyson is affectionate, playful, and endlessly loyal. He adores cuddles, naps on the couch, and just being near his people. He’s truly the definition of unstoppable — a reminder that life’s challenges can’t hold back a loving heart. Tyson would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family’s daily life, soak up attention, and enjoy walks or playtime (three legs and all, he keeps up just fine!).
