Ajax is almost two years old. He is the sweetest dog and often seeks out cuddles. His favorite toy is a tug rope, and he loves methodically ripping the stuffing out of stuffed toys. He's a loud dog, with a lot of personality. That also comes with several bad behaviors. He has no sense of personal space, with dogs or people, which has caused some issues with my roommate's pets. He and my roommate's small dog will get into it. He can't understand dog social cues, and when the small dog growls, it makes him mad. That isn't the case with my bigger dog, or my roommate's medium sized dog. He gets along great with large dogs, even if he is rough when he plays. He has a strong prey drive, so he's not good around cats or small animals and even small dogs if they move too quickly. Ajax needs a home with a lot of room to run and with someone with the patience and knowledge to train him. Most of his issues can be resolved with training and keeping his mind busy. He can be destructive when bored.

Meet Barkley. This beautiful boy is an active guy who needs a patient loving hand to guide him into becoming the best big boy he can be. He is playful but also able to curl up under your feet when you're working or by your side when you're watching TV. He is very smart and easily trainable (learned sit in an afternoon). Barkley is currently being trained by one of our partners, Tail to Tail Training. He is ready for graduation and his new home! He does well in a crate and walking on a leash and he needs someone who will be consistent in maintaining his training to keep him being a good boy! Barkley is selective about being with other dogs, so a meet and greet is required. His trainer says he's doing great with obedience and loves going on outings! Barkley would be best in a home with children 9 and older.

Poor darling had been dumped and was totally bewildered. The finder named her Annabelle and released her to BHS right away. Annabelle has since been fully vaccinated, wormed, spayed, and micro-chipped. She has grown by leaps and bounds, turned out a beautiful, eye-catching coat, and is on the hunt for a great family to love for all the years of her life! Annabelle is now approximately 10 months old and weighs about 45 pounds. She is fun-loving as any healthy, happy puppy can be! She does well with other dogs and on leash. She is crate-trained and eats her meals in the crate since she doesn't want to share. Her foster Mom says that even though Annabelle likes chasing the other dogs and playing tug-of-war with them, she also loves to cuddle on the couch. Hello world..... My name is Socks! I was found abandoned on the streets and I now live in a foster home with other dogs (large!) and cats and I am doing great! I LOVE kids because they are so fun and playful! I am about 25 lbs right now and estimated to be about 8-9 months old (as of May 27th). I am working on potty training and doing pretty well! I have never had to worry about this, but my foster parents say this is very important - so I am doing my best! I love to have fun and love to run around the yard with my dog friends. I also love to sleep on top of my people. I am fine being crated at night but I don't love the crate. It is ok - I am learning. We took in Bobby at the beginning of the year. We got him from a family member in Mexico that could no longer care for him, Bobby's primary language is spanish but he has learned some commands in English. We wish we could keep Bobby but we have 3 other dogs and can't provide Bobby with the space and attention he needs. We would love to see him go to a good family that can give him the attention he deserves. Preferrably someone with a large yard or farm. Bobby desperately wants a job. At times Bobby can be stubborn, he's protective of his food, protective of his family and has shown aggression toward a stranger that got directly in his face. Bobby really likes long walks and rides in the truck. Bobby is very healthy, up to date on his shots, monthly preventive heart worm medication and neutered. He recently recieved a good bill of health from our vet.
