Bartleby here! I’m guessed to be about 1 1/2 year old & a border collie mix, & I’ve topped out at about 55lbs. Mom says I’m a very good boy. I sleep quietly through the night, & my manners are impeccable. I get along with my doggy foster siblings - all various sizes & personalities. I don’t live with any cats, but I’ve had interactions with them & am very respectful. I’ll do best in a home with kids over 10 or younger ones who know to be patient with me as I’m a very shy boy until I warm up. Another confident, energetic, & similar-sized dog is mandatory for me - I always look to my foster siblings to tell me what to do in a new situation & they help me feel safe. My new family will need to be patient as I come out of my shell, but the reward is worth the wait. I’m the sweetest boy & love being near my people. I’m looking for a very special family who is willing to go at my pace instead of forcing me to go at theirs. Everyone meet Willow. Willow has the most beautiful chocolate coat. She is currently 4 and a half years old and weighs appx 45lbs. Willow is spayed and completely house trained. Willow is out of all the puppy stages and is just a joy to have around. She gets along with all dogs big and small. Willow pulls a bit on leash but loves walks and is a great car riding companion. This girl can’t get enough belly rubs and is usually found walking around with a toy in her mouth. Willow can be a bit timid on meeting new people but it doesn’t take much to get her to warm up. She could use someone who’s going to be patient with her when meeting new people. Once adopted Willow will travel via Rescue Vet pet transport to a location closest to you. Precious! The only way to describe this little fellow. You can imagine as a very young puppy there's jot a lot of history to share. We can tell you that he was born in our care, along with his siblings, and that his mom is a stunning black lab. We have named her Raven and she's very sweet. They have been separated from mom and are ready to find their new forever families. They are currently being fostered by Michele in Memphis, Tn. She has a has full of activity, comings and goings so the puppies are super well socialized and used to just about anything. Layla is 36 lbs and 5-6 years old and also high energy! She loves to chase balls, but needs a few lessons on retrieving. She'll nose you to get you off the couch to play, and will bark at you until you pick up a ball and throw it. This girl is also a fan of belly rubs, which she will reward with kisses. She has a herding instinct, which has mellowed a bit in the past couple of months. She also will need a home without children, cats and small critters. She needs a bit of time to get to know new people and dogs, and we are working with our vet on this. ​ Layla is spayed and fully vaccinated. Laika is 36 lbs and 3-4 years old. This sweet girl loves chasing and often retrieving balls in the house and outdoors. She loves to sniff around off-leash in a fenced back yard. Turn on your garden sprinkler and she will be entertained and exercised. Laika initiates belly runs and gives kisses to her foster mom as a thank you. Laika is more dominant than Layla and has a strong herding drive, so we recommend a home with no children, cats or small critters. She's a little nervous meeting new people and dogs, which we are working on. Laika is spayed and fully vaccinated. Profile:  Pregnant momma found herself without a family and ended up in a high kill Texas animal control.  Thankfully she went into a foster home and had her babies while she waited to come up to Wisconsin with her pups in tow.  Now Lilly's babies are ready to find home.  We really don't know what mix the pups are, but Momma Lilly looks similar to a Lhasa mix, but has a shedding coat.  All the pups look more like herding breed mixes, and are just adorable with a range of coat types from short and soft, to fluffy, and even one that looks like it may be more wiry or scruffy looking.  They have been raised in a foster home and now ready for homes of their own.  Note:  These puppies will likely shed.  We are guessing they will be smaller-medium sized dogs (mom is around 25 lb), but they could end up being larger since we don't know anything about Daddy or Mom's genetic history. In the famous words of Lady Gaga, she was born this way! Roo was born with deformities in her front legs. But that has never stopped her from being the friendly, playful, girl that she is. Roo is about 2 years old, 23lbs, spayed & up to date on her vaccines. We are actively working with getting Roo acquainted with prosthetics for her front legs to reduce the wear on her front joints. Gunner is a 3-month-old Heeler mix. He's very sweet & loves to cuddle! Since heelers are herding dogs he'll need plenty of exercise and like all pups, ongoing training. He LOVES outdoors so housebreaking should be a snap! He's dewormed & utd on age-appropriate vaccines. According to the weight calculator, he'll be about a 50lb adult. Ok, everyone, I need your help!🙌 I'm 👑Charles III👑, a 2+ year old, 55 lb guy who is just about perfect in every way but one - I'm just not a fan of strangers!! But read on, and I'll tell you why you shouldn't pass me by👀I'm completely house trained, crate trained but trusted loose while my people are away, I love walks (an old back leg injury does not slow me down) once I get comfortable with you, although you'll have to remind me not to bark at passersby, and well behaved on car rides. I only chew on my dog toys (hard toys only please!), have no issues sharing toys, food and treats with humans and doggy friends. And I LOVE my dog friends!! I'm very good at reading what those friends are like and adjusting my play style to what works best for them. I always come running when called, am 100% devoted to my family, and will do anything to please them.So - about this stranger thing. I have a hard time trusting new people at first. I bark and growl and try to scare them away! I find one person right away and bond to them quickly, then need more time to adjust to others in the home. But if you're patient and have a few days (note: this can take up to a week plus!), I'll warm up to you and lavish all my love on you! And I remember every person I've let into my circle - I saw a volunteer I met weeks ago, and treated her like a long lost bestie. Besides needing patience, I also ➡️NEED⬅️ a confident doggy playmate to take the lead that will show me new people are okay. When I see my dog friend getting affection, my craving for love will be overcome and soon I'll be right there asking for pets! Because of my herding tendencies, dog-savvy kids over 10 are best.
