Picture a husky face on a corgi body, and that’s what these dogs are. They are so stinking cute and you can’t help but smile when you see them.  They were turned into the shelter as strays and we were able to get them out before they were put down due to lack of space at the shelter. The male, Digby, is a little shy around new people but loves other dogs. Like any good man, he follows Edith’s lead on how to act.  Edith is Miss Confident. She loves people, snuggling, and going for walks. They are a bonded pair. Please do not ask us to separate them. If you’d like to meet them, please fill out an application:https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlJuly 15, 2024, 5:24 pm

Story
Loki, about 2 years old,  Chihuahua/Corgi mix,  male,  about 15 lbs.,  neutered, microchipped, vaccinate d  and house broken. Loki was surrendered by the family who had him since he was 3 months old. A family member developed an allergy and could no longer keep the puppy. He was surrendered to No Stray Left Behind rescue on Sunday, 6/30 and I’ve been fostering him since. As you can imagine, it was very traumatic  for  Loki to be left behind and he was not eating for a couple of days. He seems to have imprinted on me and is just now getting more comfortable losing sight of me. He’s been left alone  in the  house with our dog, Penny, twice and there have been no incidents. As soon as he learned the  “ going outside routine ”  and where the pee pads are, we’ve had no accidents. Loki is a cuddle bug. He’s so incredibly sweet.  He sits  on my lap  as I work  and he doesn’t disturb me at all. He also loves to play fetch and chew on his toys (doesn’t chew anything else in the house). He’s also a great walker. However, we think he was not used to walk ing  on pavement, so his paws are sensitive. Penny likes to be the only dog in the house, but they have come to an understanding and tolerate each other. They don’t play together , but are slowly becoming friends . Penny doesn’t like to cuddle, so Loki is not taking her space.   Please visit www.nostrayleftbehind.com to see our schedule for adoption events. All adoptions require an application and home visit. All of our dogs live in foster homes and are usually available to be seen at PetSmart in the Tustin Marketplace between 11:30-4:00 most Sundays. July 11, 2024, 5:07 pm

Story
This formally dressed chap is Dexter, a 7 years old Corgi/Cattledog mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Dexter knows all of his basics: Sit, stay, wait for food and wait before entering a room, and lay down. He is house and crate trained, and sleeps in his crate every night. Dexter is a nice guy with adults and older kids. He isn’t a fan of small kids, which is why he is looking for a new home. He would appreciate a home with older kids or just adults. Dexter loves a good game of fetch and can catch a ball in midair. He is a good traveler, as he is good in the car and good on leash. He does pull in the leash some, though. He loves car rides, camping, and swimming. Dexter’s ideal home is with an active person or couple who also thinks that he is all they need. He is best as an only dog in a home. For that person, he loves to cuddle. Belly rubs are a favorite, too. He is a great little guy who just needs the right home. Dexter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Santa Clarita and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required.
