Hi there! My name is Slinky and I am a baby boy pup! I am very friendly, gentle, smart and playful, and I love to cuddle up to my favourite humans. I am very curious about everything around me and I love to explore, but want to stay close to you. I am a very well-behaved boy, and get along great with other pups. I would do best in a home where I am get lots on attention since I am still a baby and might need to learn new things. Everything is a new adventure! Picture a husky face on a corgi body, and that’s what these dogs are. They are so stinking cute and you can’t help but smile when you see them.  They were turned into the shelter as strays and we were able to get them out before they were put down due to lack of space at the shelter. The male, Digby, is a little shy around new people but loves other dogs. Like any good man, he follows Edith’s lead on how to act.  Edith is Miss Confident. She loves people, snuggling, and going for walks. They are a bonded pair. Please do not ask us to separate them. If you’d like to meet them, please fill out an application:https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlJune 14, 2024, 1:41 pm

Story
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue has been asked to help with Stitch, a 4 year old backyard breeder corgi, but we can’t do it without a foster or foster to adopt home (he still needs to be neutered before we can officially allow him to be adopted). So far he seems fairly calm and good with other dogs, but he could have more energy than he’s currently letting on. He is people oriented and really wants someone he can bond with. Since he lived on a ranch and was used for breeding and basically ran free for the last 4 years, he will need some help with basic training. This includes potty, crate, and obedience. He is almost completely deaf, so he will need a home that is open to teaching him commands using hand signals. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this cutie and live ideally in the OC area, please fill out a foster or adoption application on our website!

Story
This formally dressed chap is Dexter, a 7 years old Corgi/Cattledog mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Dexter knows all of his basics: Sit, stay, wait for food and wait before entering a room, and lay down. He is house and crate trained, and sleeps in his crate every night. Dexter is a nice guy with adults and older kids. He isn’t a fan of small kids, which is why he is looking for a new home. He would appreciate a home with older kids or just adults. Dexter loves a good game of fetch and can catch a ball in midair. He is a good traveler, as he is good in the car and good on leash. He does pull in the leash some, though. He loves car rides, camping, and swimming. Dexter’s ideal home is with an active person or couple who also thinks that he is all they need. He is best as an only dog in a home. For that person, he loves to cuddle. Belly rubs are a favorite, too. He is a great little guy who just needs the right home. Dexter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Santa Clarita and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required.
