Who is this handsome guy? Meet Sancho, the 5 year old Terrier/Corgi mix. Sancho came from a loving home who could no longer care for him, but loved him very much and wanted to make sure he would end up in a good home. He is a great dog who LOVES other dogs, kids, cats, and even turtles! Quite the well-rounded guy. Before coming to us, Sancho got attacked by a large dog on his walk. He ended up having to have surgery with us because of the wound, but healed up really well! Sancho is back to tip top shape! Rescued as a stray know is medium in size and would make a great family pet as he has a very pleasant disposition temperament and is a sturdy & sociable little guy. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Liam came in as a stray at the San Pedro Harbor Shelter on 5/22. He was not claimed and only myself showed up on 5/30 at 11am when he became avl for adoption. He has seen a vet on 6/7 and has another appmt on 6/17. He needs a dental as he has peridontial disease and also had serious flea allergies. He is on ointment for his ears to clear up yeast infection and anttibiotic to help clear up the skin dermatitis which is already improved. He will not be avl for adoption until late Sept. when the vet can do a dental but you can meet in prior to that and complete a pre adopt ap. He is sweet natured and good with my small senior dogs. He will need some obedienc training as he pulls on a leash but he is crate trained and thusly being housetrained. He rides well in a car and takes treats gently in his mouth. He is a blue merle tricolor Pembroke. He was crossing an intersection in San Pedro when a good sam young lady rescued him and brought him into the San Pedro Harbor Shlter. He had no chip or ID and was not netuered and had the teeth and skin dermatitis issues shared in this narrative. Again he won't be avl until late Sept.

I've been asked to help find a home for Teddei, an 11.5 year old male Pembroke who has been diagnosed with "moments" of dementia. Here is his caregiver's narrative followed by photos. "Teddei is an 11 1/2 YO tri colored Pembroke corgi. He has been an only dog in the home since he was 8 weeks. He developed onset dementia last fall and its been absolutely heartbreaking. He needs someone to be home with him all the time. Preferably in a quiet environment without kids or other pets. Given his age he doesn’t really care for other dogs or animals. In his old age, he doesn’t get along with other dogs. He just had a vet visit last week and his enzyme levels were low in his liver so he is on liver supplements that he needs to take daily. Other than that, he’s been absolutely healthy. He needs a loving home with lots of human petting and a quiet area to hang. He loves to sit in the sun and go on walks. He has a huge personality and the biggest smile. He loves to be chased and loves a good cow ear to chew on. Occasionally he also enjoys a pup cup or a nice shredded chicken topping on his kibble. He definitely won’t say no to a bully stick chew."
