This formally dressed chap is Dexter, a 7 years old Corgi/Cattledog mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Dexter knows all of his basics: Sit, stay, wait for food and wait before entering a room, and lay down. He is house and crate trained, and sleeps in his crate every night. Dexter is a nice guy with adults and older kids. He isn’t a fan of small kids, which is why he is looking for a new home. He would appreciate a home with older kids or just adults. Dexter loves a good game of fetch and can catch a ball in midair. He is a good traveler, as he is good in the car and good on leash. He does pull in the leash some, though. He loves car rides, camping, and swimming. Dexter’s ideal home is with an active person or couple who also thinks that he is all they need. He is best as an only dog in a home. For that person, he loves to cuddle. Belly rubs are a favorite, too. He is a great little guy who just needs the right home. Dexter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Santa Clarita and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required.

Loki, about 2 years old, Chihuahua/Corgi mix, male, about 15 lbs., neutered, microchipped, vaccinate d and house broken. Loki was surrendered by the family who had him since he was 3 months old. A family member developed an allergy and could no longer keep the puppy. He was surrendered to No Stray Left Behind rescue on Sunday, 6/30 and I’ve been fostering him since. As you can imagine, it was very traumatic for Loki to be left behind and he was not eating for a couple of days. He seems to have imprinted on me and is just now getting more comfortable losing sight of me. He’s been left alone in the house with our dog, Penny, twice and there have been no incidents. As soon as he learned the “ going outside routine ” and where the pee pads are, we’ve had no accidents. Loki is a cuddle bug. He’s so incredibly sweet. He sits on my lap as I work and he doesn’t disturb me at all. He also loves to play fetch and chew on his toys (doesn’t chew anything else in the house). He’s also a great walker. However, we think he was not used to walk ing on pavement, so his paws are sensitive. Penny likes to be the only dog in the house, but they have come to an understanding and tolerate each other. They don’t play together , but are slowly becoming friends . Penny doesn’t like to cuddle, so Loki is not taking her space. Health: Had full bloodwork, Heartworm, fecal parasites and ear mites tests were all negative. History: Rescued from a high kill shelter in South Korea. Medium and large dogs have a difficult time getting adopted in Korea, due to their preference for very small dogs. Fostered in: Fullerton Type of home: She is good with any. Crate trained: Yes, but prefers to sleep next to foster mom. Meet our precious little hero Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger for euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. We had her visit our vet for a thorough exam and testing. Good news is, they say there is a great possibility that she will grow out of her seizures (no guarantees). For the meantime, she has started treatment and they have been effective. She loves toys, she a social butterfly, she’s dog and cat friendly, she loves her walks, and enjoys time at the beach. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family.
