Story
Scooby is a good dog. He's great with kids. He's friendly and a little lazy at times, but he still enjoys physical activity and a good walk. He's a foodie and not a picky eater at all. He'll eat dog food, he'll eat your food, too, which is why we named him Scooby. I've trained him to go to his crate with claps. He knows how to jump on your lap, either sitting or standing up, when you tap your thighs. He'll go to the backyard door with enough practice and claps. He's a good dog that won't pee unless he doesn't have a chance to go outside. He's learnt to go to the bathroom at 6 to 7 am and 5 to 6 pm.

Story
Meet Chuy! Chuy is a lovable, energetic 4-year-old Dachshund mix weighing about 15 pounds. He’s a fun little guy with a big personality and a love for playtime—especially when a ball is involved! If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys games and staying active, Chuy is your perfect match.Chuy is neutered, crate trained, and actually loves his crate—it’s his safe and happy space. He does well being home alone and settles in nicely. He’s also great on a leash and enjoys going on walks. This sweet boy bonds closely with his people and becomes very attached. After he’s gotten his energy out, Chuy turns into a total cuddle bug and loves snuggling on the couch or in bed with his favorite humans.Chuy is good with other dogs and would do well in a home with a canine companion, though he would also thrive as someone’s best buddy.Chuy previously tested positive for heartworms, but he has successfully completed the full heartworm treatment and is expected to be heartworm-free. He is currently not on any medications.Chuy is doing great with potty training and understands that outside is where he should go, but he is still having occasional indoor accidents. He will need an adopter who is patient and consistent to help him continue improving. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will keep you smiling, playing, and cuddling every day, Chuy may be the one for you! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step.
