Story

Meet Dulce!Just as sweet as her name implies, Dulce is a beautiful girl who is learning what it means to be loved simply for being a dog. With her gorgeous dapple coat and gentle, timid nature, this almost 4-year-old sweetheart is beginning a brand-new chapter, and she deserves a future filled with patience, kindness, and love.Dulce was previously used for breeding and hasn’t had much experience with the comforts and affection that come with being a cherished family pet. The world can still feel like a big, scary place to her. New surroundings make her nervous, unexpected noises can startle her, and she often needs extra time to feel safe. But her foster is seeing small improvements in her confidence every day, and those little victories are worth celebrating. One thing is certain: Dulce’s days of being a mom are behind her. She is now spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccinations. It’s finally her turn to be cared for, protected, and loved.Dulce is dog-friendly, although she tends to keep to herself rather than seek out interaction. She is crate trained and wonderfully quiet. Because she is still learning the basics of life as a pet, she is working on house training and has yet to become comfortable walking on a leash.Dulce will need a patient adopter who understands that trust cannot be rushed. She may not be the dog who runs up to greet you or immediately curls up in your lap, but with time, consistency, and a calm environment, she has the opportunity to discover just how wonderful life can be. Her ideal family will celebrate the small steps, give her space when she needs it, and allow her confidence to grow at her own pace.Dulce has spent much of her life without knowing the love every dog deserves. Now, she needs someone willing to show her that the world can be a safe and beautiful place. If you have a gentle heart and a little extra patience to give, Dulce may be the quiet, special companion you’ve been waiting for. It’s her turn to be loved. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story

My name is Jeff! I was found abandoned in a parking lot last month. I am very people-friendly and love to cuddle and be by people's side. I am. Great on a leash, and I love car rides. I do need to be in a home without other pets. My temporary people tried to find my owners to no avail. They have two other dogs that I do not get along with, so they cannot keep me.Jeff is very friendly with people and kids, but does need to be the only pet. He is very sweet and likes to play and cuddle. He is very good on a leash and is potty trained. He is also neutered and has a chip, but unfortunately it was never registered.Unfortunately, if we cannot find a home for him soon, we will need to surrender him to the Humane Society due to him not getting along with our other dogs.
