Story
I rescued Brody from Fort Worth animal shelter when he was 1.5 years old. He is now almost 8. Birthday is on July 11. He does not do well with young children (under 13) or other dogs. I have had him around one cat briefly and he did fine. He also got along well with my grandmothers bunny rabbit. Brody came to me with a “healed” but severely broken back leg. I’m assuming this was caused by abuse from his previous owner because he is scared of men that he doesn’t know. The leg is fully healed but healed broken. His other back leg just went through ACL repair so he shouldn’t jump up or down on high surfaces for the rest of his life. Brody is low maintence, does well being left alone for long hours while we work, is very independent, lives to eat and snuggle!!

Story
Meet Pepi! Pepi is an energetic, affectionate, amazing 7 month old chi mix! He's very playful and gets along well with our other 2 large dogs and 2 cats. He would do best in a home with other dogs to play with. He seems to prefer larger dogs vs dogs his own size. If he is an only dog it would need to be with a family that is home most of the day to play with him and give him affection. He loves to be held and snuggle. This little guy is also great with kids and is both house and crate trained! Pepi has Mega Esophagus which means he needs to eat sitting vertical to help with his digestion. He had surgery for his ME in the fall and will need a slow feeder for meal times. An owner that is able to spend ample time with him would be best. Story
Meet Paula! The charming and affectionate 8 year old Dachshund mix who just like Ariel, just wants to be where the people are. This beautiful girl is as loyal as they come and loves to snuggle up next to her favorite humans. Despite her stubborn nature, Paula is a wonderful soul and adores all people. She is also generally dog-friendly and would make a great companion for another small breed dog.Paula was previously the beloved pet of an older elementary age girl, but unfortunately was abandoned. She would do well in a home with children aged 8 and up, and needs a family who can be around often. Due to her love of chasing cars, Paula must always be kept on a leash or in a secure yard.Although she was hit by a car in the past and required surgery, Paula has made a full recovery and has no issues from the incident. However, visible scars remain on each of her hips. It is impossible not to fall in love with this gorgeous and affectionate girl, who will bring endless joy to the lucky family who adopts her.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Hollie is my mother in law's dog and she is 15 years old. My has fallen twice and been seriously injured. Now that she has rehabbed we have decided it is dangerous to have Hollie here. She stays right under moms feet day and night. Mom is too old to take her out on a leash and Hollie will not cooperate with us now that she lives at our house. We have another old dog that was ours. We had adopted her shortly before mom moved in and the two dogs are both alphas. Kallie will go on the doggie pad but wouldn't use the doggie door. They bark in competition for each other at every sound. When mom was in rehab they did not do this. Only when she is here. Mom is deaf and they think they have to tell her about every sound including a cabinet or draw closing. We are not here very much and since mom can't take them outside to go potty we are afraid mom will fall just slipping on an accident. She behaved for us while mom was in rehab but not with mom here.

Story
Turbo is a sweet boy he came to us after being abandoned by his owners. He does have partial nerve damage from being hit by a car. Both back lags were injured and nothing can be done for him. He doesn’t have control over his bladder so would do better w hardwood floors. I will send him w his belly band but I don’t use it often as I don’t want him to get a rash. Although he is good w kids he needs gentle kids that won’t hurt him. He is great w other dogs. I have done laser treatment on him and it would be awesome if I can find a new owner that may take him and keep up w it. Other than that he is a very happy pup. He has had all his shots hw negative and microchip and neutered and has had a bravecto adoption fee is $75 let me know if Interested

Story
Our names are peanut and bitbit! We are bonded 11 year old male and 9 year old female pair! We kinda had a ruff go of it as our Mom that was home with us 24-7 passed away unexpectedly. We have been in a loving foster home but unfortunately they just are not able to be home as much as we were used to so we would love to find a forever home with someone that doesn't have a very busy schedule! We just want all the love and attention! We don't like big dogs very much and would do best in a home without other pets but we may make an exception to other dogs our size🙂! We are older pups and prefer a lap to lay in but the occasional play session is ok by us!! We are good with older more mature children that understand personal space! They are a little yappy with new people, strange noises and other animals lol but the most loving, sweet, goofy pair of chi"s!! If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!
