Story
Jockey and her sisters were abandoned on a dirt road in a rural area of Arkansas at 7 weeks old. They’ve have been in rescue ever since in a dedicated foster home but they need a home to call their own. They are dog and kid friendly! Very soft coats and love to snuggle. She would make a great addition to any family!

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Moochie was discovered feral and living in a pile of tires snuggling with his decaying dead siblings all alone at approximately 10 weeks old. We don’t know what his story was prior to that but we do know that he has had extremely anxiety with new people ever since. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and is fine with cats as well. He is not aggressive but will fear pee/poop if picked up or handled in a way that scares him. He does not like walking on a leash. A fenced in yard is an absolute must for him! He’s not the normal dog people are looking for but he’s 100% Moochie and we love him anyway and help him be his best self. He will use potty pads in the house if kept inside.

Milky Way

American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, 3 yrs 3 mos
Cabot, AR
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Milky Way was left behind. Abandoned. A pack of male dogs in the area consistently targeted her for breeding. She had rocks thrown at her from the neighbors. She had her face maimed. She was heartworm positive, overbred, and absolutely terrified. She was trapped and brought to the rescue. She is very slow to trust people and understandably so. She actually loves other dogs and is submissive. She does best with a large goofy playful dog. She is very slow to warm up to people and prefers to not be approached but will come to you if she wants affection. She is actually pretty happy outside but has also had some time indoors and did fine in a crate. If you can put the time and effort into bonding with her she’s worth it. Because of her trauma she will not be adopted to any home with small children just because they may forget to respect her boundaries.

Story
Big red was one of over 30 animals pulled from a felony animal cruelty case April 12th in Jacksonville, AR. Despite being locked in a crate and living in the worst filth imaginable in an environment full of excrement and rotting carcasses Big Red is a happy loving beautiful example of resilience. He’s dog friendly and really just wants a place to lay his head. He is grateful to be in a wonderful foster home but we’d love to see him in his forever home asap so he can live out his golden years with the love and stability he has always deserved but never had.
