Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Buddy first came to us as a young dog in 2014. He was adopted by a man who adored him, and together they built a life full of routine, comfort, and unconditional companionship. Buddy wasn’t just a pet — he was family. He was someone’s shadow, someone’s joy, someone’s reason to smile every single day. Recently, Buddy’s world changed in the most heartbreaking way. His dad passed away, and Buddy found himself back with us… confused, grieving, and trying to understand why the person he loved most isn’t coming back. And yet — Buddy’s spirit is still gentle, hopeful, and full of love he’s waiting to give again. Buddy is house trained, well mannered, and wonderfully social with other dogs. He’s great with kids 12+, knows his sit and paw commands, and walks beautifully on a leash. He loves his daily outings, and nothing makes his eyes light up like a ball. That simple game brings him pure joy. He’s sweet, affectionate, and playful, but also wise in the way only a dog who has truly loved and lost can be. He bonds deeply. He notices kindness. He appreciates gentleness. He feels everything. What Buddy needs now is someone who will give him what he once had: a home where he is cherished, understood, and loved without conditions. Someone who will let him heal. Someone who will let him belong again. If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with his whole soul… Buddy is waiting. GrandPaws applies to any dog age 7 years or older. The adoption fees are reduced to help offset veterinary costs that occur as dogs age.  If you would like to adopt a GrandPaws please complete our online application at www.cvrr.usVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 23, 2026, 1:03 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Esme is a gentle young girl, just under a year old, who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She was rescued from a gas station where she had been living on her own, and thanks to a kind person who earned her trust, she finally made it to safety. She’s now discovering what leashes are, what soft beds feel like, and that people can be kind. Once she feels comfortable, Esme blossoms into a sweet, playful, affectionate companion. She just needs a patient home willing to help her continue building confidence and learning how wonderful life can be.   If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an online application at www.cvrr.us Due to high demand  we anticipate multiple applications for each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Freddy, a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, has been through a lot in his young life. When he first arrived, he was scared and favoring one of his legs, but despite whatever he endured, he never lost his trust in people or other animals. Freddy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves being with his humans, and enjoys going for walks. His signature “worried face” only makes him more endearing—he’s truly a sweetheart. He quickly has become a favorite. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an online application at www.cvrr.us Due to high demand  we anticipate multiple applications for each dog.
