Story

We adopted Peaches at Tulare County Animal Shelter in January of this year. She is about a year old now. She is high-energy, always ready to go for a walk and play fetch. She absolutely loves to run and play in the water. She is super sweet and submissive. She enjoys receiving all the pets and compliments. Peaches also knows a few commands, such as sit, down, and stay. We've also got her used to sitting or getting in a down before food. There are moments where her excitement gets the best of her, so she may not listen 100% of the time. We tried to potty train her; however, that still needs some work. Peaches also has some past trauma, which possibly appeared before or during her time in the shelter. She will often show fear or anxiety by flinching or peeing. Peaches does not like to be alone. If kept in the house by herself (without a crate) she will destroy the closest thing to her. Peaches has also been exposed to other dogs and hasn't shown any aggressive behavior. She loves people!

He has had way too much drama in his little life and now he needs to find a real, permanent home.Big Papi’s story is one we see far too often. He was left behind due to a medical condition his owner either couldn’t afford or chose not to address. He was discovered at a veterinarian’s office after receiving a call (from the possible owner) saying he’d been left at their back door. Despite efforts, Big Papi’s owner was never located. Despite that rough goodbye, this sweet 7âyearâold boy has shown nothing but gentleness. He did have a small tumor, but it was removed with no lasting issues. What remains is a tenderhearted little guy who’s understandably a bit shy at first. Once he realizes you’re safe, he allows handling with no hesitation—he just needs a moment to trust.Big Papi gets along well with other dogs and has even started venturing out on walks. He’s ready for a home where he can take his time, settle in, and finally feel like he belongs. Recycled Rescues are previously adopted dogs who, through no fault of their own, need a chance to start over in a new home.
