Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Esme is a gentle young girl, just under a year old, who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She was rescued from a gas station where she had been living on her own, and thanks to a kind person who earned her trust, she finally made it to safety. She’s now discovering what leashes are, what soft beds feel like, and that people can be kind. Once she feels comfortable, Esme blossoms into a sweet, playful, affectionate companion. She just needs a patient home willing to help her continue building confidence and learning how wonderful life can be.   If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an online application at www.cvrr.us Due to high demand  we anticipate multiple applications for each dog. Our volunteers will review each submitted application, then contact the top 3 most appropriate ones by either email or phone. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Louie is a happy‑go‑lucky guy with a personality that comes in two settings: “party mode” and “chill mode.” He’s either excited and barking to say hello or completely relaxed and taking it easy—no dramatic in‑between. He gets along with most dogs and adjusts his play style to match theirs, though he’s not the type to wrestle for hours. With people, Louie can be a little aloof, but he does have an affectionate side once he feels comfortable. He has mild interest in toys, is very food motivated, and walks nicely on leash as long as distractions are limited. Overall, Louie is a sweet, easygoing companion who brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever he goes. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them.  All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.  If you are interested in providing a loving home for a Ritzy Rescue or Posh Puppy you must complete an online application at www.cvrr.us  We are only able to respond to interested parties who have completed applications online. Thank you.   Many of our dogs can be seen at Petsmart in Visalia select Saturdays between 10 and 2.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 10, 2026, 11:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATE: Big Papi was adopted this year, but we recently learned he was in a local shelter; we bailed him out and attempted to contact the owner but he is not responding. He has had way too much drama in his little life and now he needs to find a real, permanent home.Big Papi’s story is one we see far too often. He was left behind due to a medical condition his owner either couldn’t afford or chose not to address. He was discovered at a veterinarian’s office after receiving a call (from the possible owner) saying he’d been left at their back door. Despite efforts, Big Papi’s owner was never located.  Despite that rough goodbye, this sweet 7‑year‑old boy has shown nothing but gentleness. He did have a small tumor, but it was removed with no lasting issues. What remains is a tenderhearted little guy who’s understandably a bit shy at first. Once he realizes you’re safe, he allows handling with no hesitation—he just needs a moment to trust.Big Papi gets along well with other dogs and has even started venturing out on walks. He’s ready for a home where he can take his time, settle in, and finally feel like he belongs. Are you the one who can show him that people can be kind, patient, and forever?GrandPaws applies to any dog age 7 years or older. The adoption fees are reduced to help offset veterinary costs that occur as dogs age.  If you would like to adopt a GrandPaws please complete our online application at www.cvrr.usVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 10, 2026, 11:18 pm
