Story
Meet Millie, a sweet and gentle 4-year-old Akbash who’s ready to find her forever home! Millie came to us as a stray, but despite her rough start, she has shown nothing but warmth and friendliness toward everyone she meets. True to her Akbash roots, Millie is intelligent, loyal, and calm-natured, with a natural guardian instinct that makes her both a devoted companion and a watchful presence. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home that appreciates the independent yet affectionate nature of this rare Turkish livestock guardian breed. This gentle soul will be available for adoption soon, following a scheduled dental procedure to ensure she is happy, healthy, and ready for her forever home. Contact staff to inquire meeting her — this adorable companion will be worth the wait!

Story
Hi there! I’m Luna!I’m a sweet, playful girl with a big heart and a wagging tail ready to meet my forever family. Life threw me a little curveball recently — my previous humans loved me a lot, but due to landlord issues, they couldn’t keep me. So now, I’m here at the shelter, patiently waiting for a second chance.I’m the kind of pup who thinks every person I meet is my new best friend. Whether it’s belly rubs, fetch in the yard, or just curling up next to you while you relax, I’m all in. I’ve got a playful side that shines when toys are around (squeaky ones are my favorite!), and I’ve been told my happy energy is pretty contagious.I do great with people of all ages and would thrive in a home where I can get plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I’m also a quick learner and would love to show you just how smart I can be — especially if treats are involved!I know my perfect home is out there, and I can’t wait to find it. Could it be with you? Come meet me and let’s find out — I’m ready to be your loyal, loving companion.

Story
Hi, I`m Athena! I`m a sweet, young and fun girly who`s still learning about the world and figuring out my place in it. I came to the shelter through a cruelty case, so I’ve had a bit of a rough start, but I’m so grateful for the people who’ve helped me heal and find my way to a happier, safer life. I can be a little nervous around new people, but with a handful of snacks and just a smidge of patience, I`ll get to know you, and then I’m all about the love and affection! I love cuddling and getting attention from my favorite humans, and I’ll be your loyal companion through it all. I have a history of chronic rhinitis, which means my nose sometimes gets a bit stuffy. I may need some treatment in the future to keep it in check, but don’t worry – it’s something that can be managed. Right now I`m trying to become an ambassador for Kleenex to help pay the bills! Despite that, I’m still full of energy and ready to explore life with my new family. If you`re looking for a loving, affectionate girl who just needs a little time to settle in, I might be the one for you. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and get the care I deserve. Could that be with you?

Story
Hello, I`m Nala! I was brought in because I was very stressed by the children in the home, and wasn`t coping well. I am doing much better in a children-free environment and am looking for a new spot to live my life to the fullest! I have lots of skills like walking well on leash, hand touch, sit on cue, and I am muzzle trained! I am not a huge fan of other dogs or cats, though can be around dogs from afar without issue. I am looking for a home that can meet the physical and mental needs of my breed, take me on lots of walks, and provide plenty of enrichment for me. Due to my history, a children-free home would be the best option for me. If you are looking for a big, sassy, LGD to parade around your house and yard notifying you of incoming squirrels and mailmen, come adopt me today!

Story
Effie is a bouncy, bubbly German Shepherd who could easily be the doggy version of Tigger — full of energy, charm, and an unstoppable zest for life! Found as a stray, Effie hasn’t let her past keep her down. She’s sweet, social, and always ready to spring into action. Whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or just zooming around the yard, she brings joy to every moment. The most wonderful thing about Effie? There’s only one like her!She can be a bit over-bouncy with other dogs and would do best as your one-and-only or with a calm, tolerant pup who doesn’t mind her “boing!”-level enthusiasm. But with people, Effie is all heart — loyal, affectionate, and always ready to bring a smile to your face. If you`re looking for a companion who’s fun, fearless (well, mostly), and full of love, Effie’s ready to bounce her way into your life — and your heart.
