Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Dixie was found dumped on a gentleman's property on a snowy, cold day. He spent weeks looking for her owner, but when he didn't have any luck, she was brought into the shelter. She is around 5-6 years old, underweight at around 47 lbs (up from the 43 lbs she weighed in January when she was brought in), and heartworm positive, but she still has plenty of pep. She loves people of all ages, and getting and giving attention. When she hears someone arrive at the shelter, she immediately stops playing, or sleeping, and comes to greet you with tail wagging. She knows the sit command and takes treats very gently. She has the trademark hound dog howl that she'll use when she's found something exciting to show you, normally her wet food waiting for her after her walk lol. She is friendly with other dogs, but she should be in a home without cats. Dixie has completed her month of doxycycline, and will be ready for her first heartworm injection on May 15th. Dixie is ready to get "fit" and happy in her new home.

Story
Rocky was rescued from a dangerous situation, and came into the shelter very underweight, heartworm positive, and covered in sores. He is a very sweet boy who is around 3 years old. He likes other dogs, people of all ages, and ignored the cats when he arrived at the shelter. He's been getting the care he needs at the shelter to put on weight and take care of his open sores. He was only 43 pounds when he came into the shelter, but he is up to a much healthier 62 pounds, and his coat is now beautiful and shiny. He’s a friendly, playful guy who will greet you with a toy and wagging tail when he sees you. He's always ready for a walk, and is doing well with walking on a harness. He'll also find a comfortable spot to nap, or chew on one of his toys, while he waits for someone to give him attention, or take him on his next outing. Rocky has completed his month of doxycycline and will be ready for his first heartworm injection on May 15. He’s ready to be in his forever home getting the love and attention he deserves.

Story
Pebble and her sister were found underweight, fending for themselves, and sheltering in the root of a tree by the river. They were both very nervous about being brought into the shelter, but once they arrived they were both ready for cuddles, and most importantly, food. Pebble is around 9 months old and around 38 pounds. Pebble is a confident and playful girl who is always ready for attention. She has plenty of energy, and is ready to spend it playing with her sister, or whoever will give her attention. She has learned the sit command, even if she needs a gentle reminder every now and then not to pop up lol, and she’s walking better and better on a harness. She’s very intelligent and eager to please, and she does very well with treat training. Pebble is such a sweet and loving girl who would love to grow up in her forever home.

They were both very nervous about being brought into the shelter, but once they arrived they were both ready for cuddles, and most importantly, food. Brooke is around 9 months old and around 38 pounds. Brooke is a sweet and loving girl who is a little shy, and not quite so confident as her sister, Pebble. She is ready to curl up in your lap for some love whenever she can get attention. She’s building confidence with treat training and love from the volunteers. She knows the sit command, and she is doing well with leash training, especially on a harness. She’s an intelligent girl who is eager to please. Brooke is ready to find her perfect, reassuring family to help her continue to build confidence by giving her the love and attention she needs.
