Story
Kc is a very active and loving dog. He is still young only about a year and a half, so he is very hyper. But he just wants love and attention. He licks a lot and thinks he is a lap dog even though he’s 75 lbs. He does need a lot of attention. He also needs some training. My husband and I got him from my grandmother then found out we are having our 3rd child and just have a lot on our plate currently and he needs more attention. Someone who can be home with him a lot is ready to play!

Story
Skittles is a lovely 17lb Scottish terrier mix. Skittles loves, loves, loves her humans and is very much a velcro dog in that she wants to always be where her humans are. She can be a tiny bit skittish when meeting new people or other dogs, but quickly becomes very friendly. She walks well on a leash and has a very moderate energy level except for first thing in the morning and the last thing at night before bed. Her energy at the start and end of the days is frenetic and can be a bit overwhelming as she's super intense. However, if you just give her 5-10 minutes of your time and pet and love on her she will chill and become a "normal" terrier again. She is a very typical terrier in that she's quite energetic. She loves to go for walks and to play fetch. She can ocassionally get a little mouthy and for this reason, a home with younger kids is likely not ideal. Skittles is seeking an active family. She is housebroken and crate trained but does have ocassional accidents in the house still and will pee and poop in her crate when left alone due to stress. 'Skittles' adoption fee is $250. She is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, has had a veterinary wellness check and is spayed and microchipped. Interested adopters can submit an application for her via our website at www.4pups.org. Click the Adopt button under her photos and that will take you to the application. ##1981796##

Story
Harper is a 13 year old chihuahua who came to our care when her owner had to go live in a nursing home. Harper is a very easy girl to love and care for. She mostly sleeps and pops up every now and then looking for some butt scratches.  Harper loves snuggling under the covers at night sleeping with her humans and would love to find a home where she can chill and get those butt scratches on the regular for her remaining years. She does have a collapsing trachea which is common in some smaller dogs and takes cough syrup to help her breath when it acts ups. She also has a tumor on her belly that is nonmalignant but that can't be safely removed due to her trachea issue. All in all though, she's a sweetheart. Her foster family calls her their little "sweet potato." If you'd like to spoil this sweet senior with the good life, please submit an application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under her photo on our website at www.4pups.org. ##1860420##

Story
Emma is approximately 3 years old and is a very sweet girl. She loves women ... almost too much. She will guard women from the men in their lives if you let them. Emma's ideal home would be with a single woman or several women living together that would like a dog for protection. She's very loving, walks great on a leash, is housebroken and is a general all-around good dog except for her dislike of men and her tendency to guard her person from other people (especially men). If someone is willing to work with Emma's guarding tendencies and help her to learn when its appropriate and when it isn't, she would make a great BFF. If you are interested in Emma, please give Scarlett at call at 317-538-2805. ##1667765##

Story
Ranger is an 8-month old poodle mix (reportedly Husky/Poodle). He is a big gangly, goofy puppy who LOVES LOVES LOVES to play. He would be an ideal playmate for a younger only dog looking for a friend or for an active family with older children. Ranger was previously in a home with children but due to his size an exuberant nature, older children likely would be best. Ranger is housebroken, sleeps well in a crate and has excellent dog to dog interaction skills. He can still be jumpy and mouthy and will need continued training in those two areas. Ranger is scheduled for neuter on 2/23/24 and will be available for adoption 2/26/24 one we are sure he's healing properly from his surgery. Ranger's adoption fee is $250 and includes all of his age-related vaccines, veterinary wellness check, microchip and neuter. ##1966665##

Daisy

Maltese Shih Tzu

Female, 6 yrs 2 mos
Cloverdale, IN
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Daisy is a fearful girl who was part of a hoarding situation. She enjoys snacks and running in and out of the dog door. She does not like petting or cuddling, but she does like chin scratches and giving her foster mom nose kisses early in the morning. Daisy does not walk well on a leash, so she'd do best in a home with a fenced in yard.  She would like a home with another dog who is laid back and doesn't mind the company. She does not want a home with children as she will try to bite their ankles or a hyper dog (she will bite their legs and bully them). Daisy's ideal home is very quiet and willing to be patient with her issues. She prefers someone who doesn't mind putting her away when guests show up so that she doesn't try to bully them into leaving again.  Daisy's adoption fee is $25. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. ##1494404##
