Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet our newest intake Slugger! We pulled Slugger from Eastern Shore Regional Animal Control Facility Melfa as he is an amazing good dog who was in imminent danger of euthanasia due to lack of space and so many incoming dogs. Slugger is good with people, and friendly with other dogs, and was non reactive to cats when walked through the cat room. Despite his muscular body and big mouth Slugger is sweet, gentle and respectful. He is about a year old and full of comical goofy energy. There is no feeling down around this boy. He will put a smile on your face every time you look at him. His happy, jolly energy is infectious! He was neutered mid September and completed his shots and got his microchip at the same time. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Honey had a loving home for mosts of her life but her owner had a fall and was no longer able to care for her. She has been in one of our foster homes for 6 months and she is an "easy-keeper" She is a young 9 year old girl who is housetrained and walks ok on a leash. She is affectionate and would be a great choice for a low activity household.  She loves to go for walks and in the car but is also happy just hanging around.  She is slightly overweight but is on a consistent diet to get that under control.  She seems to enjoy her kennel mate, Slugger and we think she would be ok with a male dog of around her size and would do fine alone.  No cats or tiny dogs for this girl but you will fall in love with her.  She loves every person she meets and deserves her own home.  She is an a heated/air conditioned home kennel with her own run but she misses being around her person.  Please consider her- you won't be sorry. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 9:50 am

Story
Meet Moody! Our affectionate, snuggle and kisses loving 55 lb pit-boxer mix. Moody was found roaming the country roads of Georgia on a family vacation 2 years ago and has been a part of our family ever since. Named Moody after Mad Eye Moody from Harry Potter, because of her one blue eye, and her funny "awoos" every time she has a treat. Moody loves to bird watch outdoors, sniff, go on walks, and SNUGGLE. Moody loves belly rubs, a good bully stick, long walks on trails for sniffing. She is sweet, affectionate, potty trained, and great with cats. Moody needs to be the only dog in her household, as she's had dog-dog aggression issues. No human aggresion and has always been fantastic with kids. She plays with our cat, but unfortunately after discovering that she's struggling to not be head honcho between our other two established dogs, we've made the difficult decision to rehome her. Moody takes up a big part of our hearts, and we're looking for a family that will treat her the same!

Let me be your very best hiking and jogging buddy. I am young, active, and would love a bestie for new adventures. My energy level is medium, and I have some good leash manners. I don't always like other dogs - we would have to meet. I don't know any cats. I AM CURRENTLY IN HOUSTON, BUT MY HUMANS CAN ORGANIZE FOR ME TO COME TO YOUR AREA.
