He is friendly, affectionate, and happiest when he’s getting attention and sharing his love. He does wonderfully with other dogs and is great with kids, making him a wonderful little companion for a family of almost any kind. Parker has so much love to give and is ready to leave his paw prints on someone’s heart. All he needs now is a family to call his own—a loving furever home where he can be cherished, spoiled, and loved for all the years to come. Meet our adorable 5-month-old Doodle mix named Pete.  This sweet boy is about 25 pounds now and is expected to be a medium-sized dog, likely around 35–40 pounds when fully grown. He has already been neutered and is ready to find his forever family. He is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for a nap. Despite being a puppy, he has a wonderfully chill, easygoing personality. He enjoys being around people and is great with both kids and other dogs. We don’t have cats in his foster home, so we’re not sure yet how he would do with them. He’s a super cute, loving pup who would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for an affectionate, friendly companion — and a very willing cuddle buddy! ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Meet NAVY! She had a confirmed seat on the freedom ride to the DC area but now only has a temporary place to stay and is looking for a foster or adopter. Navy is a 4 year-old, 47 pound, Doodle/Poodle mix and is an absolute gem! This beautiful girl is sweet, strong, and clearly knows what it means to be loved. Navy is very people-focused, walks beautifully on a leash, and even knows how to heel! She would make a wonderful addition to a home and could be a fantastic choice for a first-time dog owner. She has tested well with other dogs. She has so much love and happiness to give to her new family for many years!
