Story
Cookie is a sweet, gentle girl who’s already spayed and microchipped—ready for her forever home. She may be a little picky with dry food, but happily eats it when mixed with canned food (a small quirk that just adds to her charm 😊). We are going through a family situation that is going to make us downsize the house, but she’s trained: fully house/apartment-trained, comfortable going in and out of her crate, and knows how to sit. Cookie thrives in a home with space, attention, and love. She enjoys playing with her toys, chewing on her favorite bones, and going outside for adventures. One of her best traits is how quickly she matches your energy—she’s just as happy being calm and quiet as she is joining you for a faster-paced walk in nature. Cookie is affectionate, peaceful, and an absolute joy to have around.

With her adorable little size, she’s the perfect fit for just about any household—apartments, houses, or anywhere with a couch and a human willing to share it. This petite cutie is full of charm and wants nothing more than to be with you, in your lap if possible.  She is getting along fine with the others all dogs and the cat in her foster home, but what she really cares about is people. Churro doesn’t need much—just love, cuddles, and someone who will never make her wonder where she’s sleeping next.     If you’re looking for a small dog with a huge heart and a face that’s impossible to say no to, Churro might just be the one for you!  Apply today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
