Story
Rory - Lovely, Smiley, SweetSome dogs brighten even the gloomiest days, and Rory is one of them. She arrived as a stray on a cold, rainy afternoon, soaked and unsure, yet still wearing the sweetest little smile. No one came to reclaim her, but we promised her that her future would be filled with sunshine, comfort, and a family who sees just how special she is. Her SpiritRory is the definition of lovely. She has a soft, gentle presence paired with a naturally happy demeanor that makes her instantly endearing. Her smile - the one she flashes the moment someone comes to greet her at her kennel - is the kind of smile that melts hearts and makes you feel chosen. She's calm, sweet, and wonderfully balanced. She enjoys affection, loves meeting new people, and has a way of making everyone feel like an old friend. Social & FriendlyRory came in with Lorelai, and the two quickly became shelter favorites thanks to their easygoing personalities and excellent leash manners. Like her companion, Rory is an easy walker, moving with a relaxed pace and checking in with her handler. She makes every walk feel peaceful. She's also:Dog‑friendly - She enjoys the company of other pups and plays well.Cat‑approved - Calm and respectful around feline friends.People‑loving - She greets everyone with warmth and enthusiasm. Her gentle nature makes her a great fit for beginner dog owners, families, or anyone looking for a sweet, steady companion. Her Perfect HomeRory is the kind of dog who adapts beautifully. Whether she joins a home with other pets or becomes someone's one‑and‑only, she will bring joy, affection, and a sense of calm. She's the perfect match for adopters seeking a dog who is friendly, easygoing, and ready to love wholeheartedly.Ready for Her Bright FutureRory's rainy‑day beginning doesn't define her - her bright spirit does. She's ready to leave the dreary days behind and step into a life filled with love, comfort, and belonging. All she needs now is someone to see her smile and know she's meant to be theirs. Story
Meet Luna - A Gentle Soul Searching for Her Safe PlaceLuna (or Lulu, as her friends lovingly call her) is a 2.5‑year‑old pittie mix with a soft heart and the sweetest spirit. She came to us as a surrender alongside her companion Odin when their family could no longer keep them. While Odin adjusted quickly, Luna has had a harder time with the transition. She's a sensitive girl, and the shelter environment has been overwhelming for her - which is why we're hoping to find her a loving home as soon as possible.A Shy Girl With a Big HeartLuna can be timid when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her personality begins to shine. She's gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal to the humans she trusts. Luna isn't the kind of dog who rushes into the room demanding attention - she's the quiet companion who blossoms slowly, forming a bond that's incredibly rewarding. Her Social StyleDog Selective - she may do well with the right canine match and proper introductionsCat Friendly - she does fine with feline friendsBest suited for a calm, patient home that understands she needs time to decompressA Different Dog Outside the ShelterOnce Luna steps outside for a walk, everything changes. She becomes an easy, happy walker - relaxed, curious, and content. She loves sniffing the world around her, taking in the breeze, and smiling from ear to ear. Watching her enjoy the outdoors is a reminder of just how much potential she has once she's in a stable, loving environment. Her Dream HomeLuna is looking for someone patient, kind, and willing to let her set the pace. She doesn't need perfection - just a home where she can feel safe, decompress, and slowly show her true self. With time and love, Luna will reward her person with a deep, trusting bond that only a once‑shy dog can give.Could you be the safe, steady home Luna has been waiting for? She's ready to love - she just needs someone willing to give her the chance. Story
Meet Pretzel - the sweetest little twist in your lifePretzel is an estimated 2‑year‑old female boxer mix with soft brown eyes and an even softer heart. She's a gentle, affectionate girl who can't wait to get twisted up like a pretzel with her very own person.Pretzel arrived with another dog - we're not sure if they were housemates or just travel buddies on their stray adventure - but they got along beautifully. Since then, she has shown friendly interest in every dog she's met and has had no reaction to cats, making her a great fit for a wide variety of homes. She started out a bit timid, but she's blossoming more every day. With just a little patience and kindness, she'll become your most loyal, snuggly companion. She's also an easy walker, gentle on leash, and wonderfully polite. If you're searching for a brown‑eyed beauty with a loving spirit and a heart ready to bond, Pretzel is your girl. ** Peaches is in a Foster Home. Please submit an application in order to meet her. **Meet Peaches!   Peaches is a zoomies loving, puzzle winning, tug of war aficionado, and that's just scratching the surface with her. Here's a few things you should know about her:•knows the "place" command and is improving and expanding on it with practice•loves to run•crate trained and quiet as a mouse in it•knows the "heel" command and is working on holding it with distractions•loves an adventure•sits at doorways•lovesss toys   These are just a few things that make Peaches the beautiful girl she is. The best way to get to know her is to come see for yourself all she has to offer!   Peaches does show some reactivity towards other dogs, mostly smaller ones, as well as small animals. She is improving with redirection training and we think she may be okay in a home with other animals with a family that can continue her training and keep interactions supervised! As always, meet and greets between dogs are required!   While we love having her here, she deserves a couch of her own. If a dog who loves hard, plays hard, and sleeps hard sounds like the right fit for you, apply and set up a time to meet her, she may just be your next greatest choice! Story
Meet Jitterbug! Jitterbug is a young dog who is eager to learn and even more eager to love. She is all fun, all the time. With the structure and consistency a home of her own could give her, she would thrive! Jitterbug knows her basic commands and is working on her leash walking. She loves toys and to run outside in the play yards. She is a high energy girl, and would love a home that can give her the outlets she needs. Jitterbug is also incredibly smart, and is a good listener. A home that can continue her training and work her brain will turn her into the best girl she can be! Jitterbug does not react well to cats, and would do best in a feline-free home. While she shows some dog reactivity, we think she could live with a dog that matches her energy. If she sounds like the right fit for you, fill out an application and come meet her right at the shelter! She would love to meet you!
