Story
Her name is Poppy. She's mostly a good girl, and is very loving. She loves to give and receive attention. She has a problem with going potty in the hallway on the carpet here. Which makes us have to rug scrub constantly or have her in her crate all the time which I hate doing. It could be that she has just marked this spot by this point. She will go outside to potty and does everyday. She knows how to use an automatic dog door. She is 8 years old and still full of tons of energy. She loves children and is very affectionate.

Story
Zeke is a high energy sweet boy. He aims to please his owner and loves attention. He is a high energy dog. He loves to play tug of war, run, hike and go for car rides. He is 14 months old. We got him at 8 weeks old with another male puppy. They were best buds until about 6 weeks ago. They got into a fight and haven't stopped fighting since. We have children in the home so the risk is too great for us to be able to keep him. The ideal home for Zeke would be one where he is the only pet. He needs an owner who is active and has the time to spend with him and play.

Story
Please see HSBC website to adopt. -Hover "Adopt". Click on "Dog". -Scroll to "How to Adopt" - Click on "Dog Application" Stormy certainly has the Boxer vibe AND personality. She is wildly fun, with lots of energy. She is certain that she is the funniest person in the room. Her very first birthday is December 6th, 2025! She doesn't might gifts that are for her birthday AND for Christmas - her wish is a home where she will never be left behind. Stormy will need training, of course, but if you love to laugh, she is the girl for you. Stormy is around 46 lbs, is spayed, UTD on prevention and is microchipped. She has the typical Boxer coat pattern, but is Black with White. Her adoption fee is $300. She has been good with dogs, kids, and adults. We do not know about cats. December 9, 2025, 2:29 pm

NIKKO IS THE BEST! Please see the Humane Society of Bay County, Inc. website to apply. - Hover "Adopt" and select "Dog" - Scroll to see the section labeled "How to Adopt"  - Click on "Dog Application  Nikko's adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, UTD on ALL prevention including HW prevention, and flea/tick prevention. He is also microchipped.  Nikko came to us as a pup that had contracted Heartworms AND Lyme's disease. We were glad to have caught both so soon. After a very long treatment and healing time, Nikko is FINALLY ready for his forever family. He is HW free and suffers NO complications from having had Lyme's.  Nikko wants to run, play, run some more and play! If you know Husky's then you know what we are talking about. He will need regular exercise and probably some obedience training. Nikko also loves to snuggle. He weighs about 45lbs. While Nikko lives harmoniously with a cat in his foster home, he does have a strong prey drive and we do not recommend a home with birds or small animals. Nikko has met many and loves other dogs and people. He pretty much loves everyone he meets.    December 4, 2025, 12:29 pm

Dakota

Bull Terrier

Female, Adult
Bay City, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Please see HSBC website to adopt. -Hover "Adopt". Click "Dog". -Scroll to "How to Adopt" - Click "Dog Application". Dakota was found on the street and her history is completely unknown. She is shy and skittish around anything new. Most likely, she was kept outside or tied up. She is learning what furniture and toys are in her foster home.  Dakota needs a home where someone will give her the time she needs to warm up and not be scared anymore.  Older, well-behaved children are okay. We do not know how she is with cats. She has done well with dogs but can be selective with her space when it comes to dogs. Meets with other dogs are required. We think there could be Cattle Dog in her somewhere. She is chocolate brow with white and weighs about 43lbs. Pictures to come. December 9, 2025, 2:29 pm
