Story
Laverne is a 6 year old silver spayed female that weighs 62 pounds. Laverne is being fostered in Grand Haven, Michigan. Laverne is looking for her "Shirley" - a single woman who is looking for a little weim to care for, walk and have great couch cuddles watching tv. Applicants for this lovie need to understand that Laverne will be very protective of her owner. The best home for Laverne will be quiet; without a lot of visitors and an owner who works part-time outside the home, or is semi-or fully retired. Previous Weim experience while not required, would be helpful to understand the tendencies of the breed including resource guarding and how to introduce people and other dogs properly.

Story
MEET CHARLIE WATTS Named after the awesome Rolling Stones Drummer - I am ready to to take my solo act on the road and am ready to find my forever home Meet playful Watts - a 7 year old blue Weim mix who did not have a great start in life. Watts was kept outside - 24/7 in all kinds of harsh elements and was chained up. Since coming into GLWR - he has come such a long way. He is no longer petrified of people and other dogs. He is finally understanding what it means to be loved - having good food, a warm home and a comfy bed and awesome duck jerky treats. Watt's is currently being fostered in a family home in Howell, Michigan. Watt's foster parents say that while he may not be winning any fetch awards, he will definitely give it his best as he's still trying to figure it out. Watt's will win over your heart with his mad snuggling skills so if snuggling and watching TV is your thing He'll be a perfect match. When Watt's got his new suit of armor - AKA - a new red chest harness - it helped him immensely by boosting his confidence - you should see him strutting between the couch and outside. We kill ourselves laughing! Watt's sleeps contently in his kennel at night. He recently started enjoying getting baths at the local pet store - which was definately intimidating at first. He sure didn't know what to make of the Bearded Dragon!!! Watt's doesn't require lenghly walks or runs - he's more of an "out to the mailbox during commercial break" kind of dog so he can get back to his shows. A daily walk around the block has been a good way to introduce Watt's to the outside world and he's even managed to drop a few pounds. His favorite snack is chicken slices from the deli. Watts is a 7 yr old Weimaraner mix, neutered male, looking for a quiet home with lots of love to give. He is a bit on the shorter side, so counter surfing is out of the question. Watts can be an only dog or he'd be fine with another fur brother or sister in the home. No kids under 15. Once Watts gets comfortable, we will start bonding with the person he feels safest with. He will resource guard his favorite human if he feels threatened by another dog taking away his human from him. Wattstends to take three steps forward and two steps back. He never gets fully comfortable with anything even through repetition and routine, so patience is a must. He continues to gain confidence the longer he gets acclimated to his surroundings. Watts would probably do best with a fenced in yard, but isnt necessary. He goes on a tie just fine. We have practiced with the invisible fence, but we dont think its a good option due to him bolting forward rather than moving back from it. Watts would be a great candidate for condo or apartment living as he's on the quiet side and doesn't need a ton of exercise.

Story
Say hi to Reagan, Senior, huge eyes, soft ears, big heart, great hearing, snorer, unit, small coffee table, mini tank, STRONG All love, all heart. Most of all loyal. Her loving eyes will look deep into your soul. She always looks to us with love. She will work that same look for a treat too. All 3 of us! Reagan is housebroken, not a single accident in the house! She will bark or gently tap you or the door to be let out, and when she wants her food. She will work her loving eyes for that last piece of toast you are having with your breakfast. She is a bed hog. Once we head to bed & we hear her get off the couch & shake, we must get into the right position because once she hops on there is NO moving her. We frequently take her into downtown Grand Haven for long walks, she's friendly with people - young & old. She is sometimes reactive to random dogs, but we've learned to walk with a supply of treats to help direct her attention elsewhere. We have a crate setup for her, she randomly uses it to relax & chew her bone. She has free rein of the house. She can be a counter surfer if food is within her reach. This sweetie is ready for a forever home!

Story
Are you looking for a loving, calm and mature Best Friend to welcome into your family? Do you work from home or are you a bit of a homebody? We had the pleasure of fostering Louise. She is a delightfully sweet, loving and friendly girl who frequently wags her tail to let you know how happy she is and how much she loves you. She adores people! Louise is a seasoned and mature senior gal with great manners. She is potty trained, crate trained and so easy to care for. At night she sleeps in her crate on a big comfy cushion. During the day, she loves enjoying all the comforts of home life. She loves looking out the windows, checking out what you are doing, asking for pets and massages and taking a nap next to you. She is easy to walk. Her only requirement is to be let out for potty breaks every 3 - 4 hours during the day. Occasionally, she might need to go out "off of the schedule but she will let you know. Hey, that happens to the best of us as we get a little older If Louise sounds like the perfect match for you, stop in and meet this wonderful lady. She is so deserving of a loving home .
