Story
Meet Dante, our 1-year-old foster pit bull ready for his forever home. He has been with us for 5 months while we nurtured him back to health. Hes affectionate, loyal, energetic. Hes well-trained, responding to basic commands, fully potty trained. We are seeking a family offering an active lifestyle. Ideally, Dante needs to be the only dog, with a securely fenced yard in a quiet area. He loves walks, chew toys, play fetch, cuddles. His allergies are managed through a specific diet (see pet diet). Hes neutered fully vaccinated. While great with humans, he cautious around other dogs, especially males. His new family should understand pit bull ownership responsibilities. He does best in a calm environment. His perfect home would combine regular exercise, consistent training, lots of love. He is seeking a family wholl appreciate his loving nature and commit to his needs. Learn more about me on my website: https://mailchi.mp/af707ba926a7/meet-dante

Story
Oprah is a little gem of a dog. She is easy to handle, and LOVES to walk and explore. She can be a little timid and shy at times, but this may be due to her sensitivity to the loud noises and daily commotion of shelter life. Once she is outside, she relaxes and you get to see her happy, silly side. She is not over-reactive and her activity level seems to be on the lower side. She's a smaller-sized mature gal, and has the potential to be an amazing best friend. She is sweet, sweet, sweet!!! Oprah is up to date with her vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to go HOME!

Story
Meet Marvelous Millie! Millie is another one of our long-term residents that has been waiting SO patiently for her family to find her. A staff and volunteer favorite, she does go out for field trips and overnights with glowing reports of good behavior upon her return. Millie is SMART - she knows how to sit, speak, wait and shake hands. Staff will tell you that she is motivated to learn and learns fast! Her favorite activities on field-trip days are snuggling on the couch and working on her perfect golden suntan! She is a great companion for walks and doesn't get overly excited with normal activities happening around her but does love to have some time to zoom around and play, too. She LOVES toys, LOVES to snuggle with her people, always wanting to have a paw on her person as a way of showing affection. Aside from her pile of favorite toys, Millie does keep a neat pen and doesn't tend to have 'accidents' on her field trips. She is SUCH a fun gal, its hard to believe she's been waiting this long for someone to see how truly awesome she is. Millie is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed.
