Story
The fourth picture is of Goofy & his mother, Charlie. I bought(rescued) Charlie in July of 2024. On September 10 she had puppies. Goofy is 1 of 3 I have left. He doesn’t get along with his older brother, and I want to keep him. Goofy has killed a cat. He almost killed my brother’s brindle male Pit. I have two females in the house, I believe that caused the fight. He grew up in my lap with the other 5, and he still wants in my lap all the time. He’s kennel trained & will go to bed , when told. If not in kennel you might wake up to a mess on the floor. Especially if other dogs have been there. He does play fetch.

German Shepherd Dog

Story
Quentavia is 5 years old, about 60 lbs, and has had a gastropexy. Although mostly house trained, she may occasionally pee when overly excited or after drinking a lot of water. She has had water bloat from drinking too much so water intake needs to be monitored. She knows sit, down (English) and platz (German), stay and can high five / shake. She has had very minimal IGP exposure. She is very energetic and enthusiastic and can be mouthy and jumpy. Her excitement can overwhelm some people and although dog friendly, her rough, intense play style can be too much for many dogs. For this same reason she is not good with cats. Friendly with kids if her energy is properly managed, but due to her size and enthusiasm, older kids would be best. She loves tug, fetch, and squeaky toys. She is registered and I have her pedigree. She has some show dogs and working dogs further back and could potentially do either with training. She could also just be a hiking buddy.

Story
Renegade is 4 years old and 35 lbs. She is great with kids but very wiggly and excited so she would be best with kids who are steady on their feet or someone who can manage her enthusiasm. She knows basic obedience commands and several tricks. She has primarily lived as an outdoor dog so she may need more house training. I would really like to find her a home with someone who wants to dabble in dog sports. She does have a little dock diving and disc training but she is not advanced. She could excel in rally, obedience, detection, maybe even bite work. Possibly agility but she will nip at you if you run so would need to get over that. She is very friendly with people but doesn't like dogs in her bubble. When distance is given she is fairly neutral. She would probably do best as an only dog or with an experienced owner who understands boundaries and could do proper slow introductions. She has attempted to bite moving cars and should not be trusted being loose near any roads.

Sirius

Australian Cattle Dog Australian Shepherd

Male, Adult
Poplar Bluff, MO
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sirius is 4 years old and about 50 lbs. He requires an experienced home and significant management. He is dog aggressive, especially toward other male dogs so he must be an only dog. He requires careful handling when passing other dogs; muzzle use and strong leash control. He is not safe off leash unless in a securely fenced area due to the aggression as well as a tendency to chase cars he will dig and attempt to escape if left unsupervised for long periods. Ongoing training and strict management will be necessary to keep him and others safe. While he can be friendly with kids, his behavior and management needs make a kid free home safest so an adult only home is strongly preferred. He needs a handler comfortable with tools and committed to significant training. Sirius is not a beginner dog and will not be a good fit for most homes. However, he can thrive in a controlled environment with an experienced person who understands behavior management and is prepared to put in the work.

Story
We found Bear on the side of the road when he was just a couple of days old. I bottle fed him and he has grown into a big dog! He’s a little over a year old now and very energetic. Bear has proven to be teachable with gentle consistent training and would make a good guard dog. He loves to fetch and run. Bear has been an inside dog for the past year and is crate trained, but loves being outside and might enjoy being an outside dog too. He is healthy, his shots are up to date, and has been neutered. I requested an experienced adopter because Bear is not a snuggly dog. He doesn’t enjoy being handled very much which causes him to be a little mouthy. He will need some more consistent training than I am able to give him in order to get him past this stage. Bear is very good around med-large calmer dogs, but dogs smaller than himself or dogs that are too excitable are a bit of a trigger.
